You might remember me from a looooong time ago, well anyways, I abondoned this thread because at the time, my palettes weren't very good, but now I'm back, and with 57 palettes (WHAT THE F- *explodes*) I'm feeling better than ever. While I was away, I was at marriland (my marriland username is Faze), running my recolor shop, which is where I got the inspiration to make more palettes. On this thread I have posted my palettes and I will soon start making hundreds upon hundreds of recolors for your entertainment, all of these recolors will be posted here of course. So yeah, welcome to my palette. TA-FREAKIN-DAH!

Recolors:
Electric Recolors

(don't steal these palettes or I will be incredibly sad and then I'll report you for theft, and none of us want that to happen, right? ;))

Do keep in mind you can't copyright colors, so you can't really accuse someone of theft for using your palletes. Especially when the point of making a pallete is simply to make things easier for other people or yourself, otherwise its really just a waste of time since anybody can make their own.

I know you've come a long way since the first time you posted your palettes, but I think that several of them could still use some work.
I'm still noticing plenty of MS Paint Default-looking colours amongst these. It's okay to have a couple in a single palette, but the darker and lighter colours' shades should be altered just slightly to make it more natural.

Even if it's just a slight alteration (in MS Paint's colour selection, just move the target slightly left or slightly right, even diagonal a little bit), it really helps to make the palettes look more natural, since it gives more variety in the shades, not just the same shade made lighter or darker again and again.

Another tip. Also be careful not to make your darker/lighter shades too similar to the one before/after it. I notice that very clearly in your full-yellow palette on the left. Again, what I suggested above could also help with preventing that.

Some of them have very interesting colours, too. I look forward to seeing them applied on sprites. <:

Turtle and Glalie: Sure you can use them

Akira: I've been patching up some of my earlier palettes to make them less MS-Paint-ish, I'm working on electric, fire, and water atm :)

EDIT: I finally got the electric palette to the way I want it, so I did 9 test recolors with the edited palette, I was going to post them, but the animation screws up when I try to post it here..... so here's the link

If you don't mind a white background, I can post the animation here

Palette Edits

10/15/09:
I've made some edits to the water and fire palettes, the fire palette needed to have less saturation, and I think I also gave it more of a "hot" look now.
I also thought the water palette looked a lot like the sapphire palette, so I put the water palette into more of a cyan/aqua color range.

may i use them plzs?

yes, you may use them ^^

The lightest shade like in the electric palette are contrasting too much.
I can't really give C&C to palettes, but it would be nicer to have more shades in case someone might want to anti-alias more or there is a big sprite.

Hey just wondering can i use these but then change the shades just so they dont contrast as much
then if you want i could send them back to you and you could just see what they look like or use them in this thread

I'd rather not have people changing my palettes.... the contrast looks fine when you actually apply the palettes to pokemon

I think for a lot of these palettes, they could use a fifth shade for the black outline, like your Ice palette, for example.

The palettes are nice, although I think you could have some more shades that could be used for larger pixel overs as well. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more.
