Looks like I'll get my blissey, skarmory, tyrannitar and any other meticulously bred pokemon ready for JAA which should come near me in July.

Behold! More Corn!
Im working on a strategy for the JAA, and it has no legendarys in it, so look forward to me, 9voltdude, winning the JAA in ohio.

there is one thing that all the winners have.

at least one rare from hoenn, god you little kids, can't you fight without them. I mean isn't that why pokemon should be more for the little kids?

The Great Butler

Hush, keep it down
They could've banned all 00bers and Legendaries, but they didn't. So choosing Legendaries is a poison I personally will have to swallow. I agree that it is certainly better to make it a UU or OU/UU mix without Legendaries to make participants think more about their teams, but trying a team like that here would be a commendable but suicidal decision if you want to win.

And even if they banned Legendaries, you'd see Blissey abuse beyond anything you've ever seen before. I hate Blissey.....>_>

Well, at least TWO of the Pokémon I'm using are bred - Blaziken and Swampert! I'll be at the Braintree stop, with my friend Charles Williams, if you're interested.

That's what happens. People take advantage of that very fact. And the sad thing is, if one does not back one's own hiney with the same legendaries, he or she can kiss their chance good-bye.

Strategically speaking, it only makes sense. But I guess in a moral or ethical plane the act is shameful.

Uber is a German word. It basically means super, top-of-the-line, best you can get. That's why Pokemon like Mew, Groudon, etc. are called ubers.

Lanturn comes highly recommended as an anti-legendary.

Lanturn @ leftovers
Substitute
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave

Sub first, then TWave. Then depending on the opponent, Ice Beam or TBolt away. When your Sub disappears, just Sub again. Leftovers should have at least partially made up for the lost HP by then.

Most of these kids probably hardly even know what status conditions are, much less the havoc they can wreak. :D

What 'bout My Star?
The overuse of Ubers really ticks me off, but, they often are weaker than some of the high end train up pokemon, but those ones, like dragonite and Gyrados are often hard to train, so most people go for the easy big guns, when there missing out on the better thing with there lazyness
Oh well, thier loss

Did you forget about CB Groudon with Earthquake? I've heard a lot of that running around.

If you're worried about that, you can put Confuse Ray over TWave, that might force a switch...that or you'll get lucky and it'll hit itself, allowing you to get in an SE Ice Beam. You can also pack a Lapras with something like:

Lapras @ leftovers
Substitute
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Protect

Only use Protect if you have your Sub up, it'll give you a free turn to get a few HP back from Leftovers. Otherwise this is a good one to use against Groudon.

I'm working on my JAA Team right now, and yes I'll be using A legendary, my trusty Mewtwo!! I hope everyone is ready to be defeated by it's whomping 399 Sp.Atk. I'll also be using my Sceptile, Charizard, Pikachu, Omastar, and I'm not sure about my 6th Pokemon yet.

I figured that some people were too predictable..... This is my theory :

They think that legenderies are, literally, the strongest Pokemon in existance and they think that there's no way you can win a battle without them. Besides that, they all choose offence over defence instead of mixing them together. I know all Trainers have at least one flaw in there team but these guys take the cake..... If they banned every legendery, I bet they'll go down before you know it.

But it's just a theory. I also doubt that most of them would use Blissey. (Girlish image)

Actually, über means over. It's a common misconception, but I guess that many legendaries would be over the line.

IMO, I do wish they limit the legendaries, but I would at least congraduate the people who actually have won against others who could use legendaries. I think people should have one legendary, and the rest be weaker Pokemon.
