There is something going on with the following image:

From top to bottom, we have companies who endorse Bea, ?, ?, Milo, Team Yell/Marnie and Nessa. We may have potential remaining Gym Leaders' typing hidden here. The Cooking one might indicate Fire Gym, while the Lapras one in Japanese website could indicate Ice Gym.

There seems many so, it's not easy to exactly pin-point what types they could be used for, or sponsored at all. But, it's worthy for speculation.

I just thought of something after seeing this: Do you think the gym leaders’ teams (&/or their aces) could be based on their sponsors?

For example, Milo could use Grass types that are either suited to work on farms or are based on plants/crops you’d find on a farm, while Bea could use Fighting types that are all suited as construction workers.

Granted, I could be wrong since Bea’s Hitmontop most likely implies that her team’s based on the fact that she’s an expert in karate, but it could be another way to show how the gym leaders endorse various companies in the Galar region.

Steel and Flying also fit with a tall metal tower but does the type even have to fit? not every gym's exterior is telling of what type is used within.
However, this time it is, from the shots of all the Gym exteriors that we've seen so far. I also find Steel to be more likely for the industrial area Gym.

do we know if the rumor about that kabu person being a gym leader is real or was it just fake? because by this point i would've thought that we'd see this kabu character if they really existed.

It's not a game Kate.

Uh, what?

Why would we have heard of them by now? We've only haerd of 4 gym leaders so does that mean their are only 4? (3 per game) No, it doesn't.

Kabu could still be fake despite the rest being right so far but I doubt it, though it could be another mistake like pamper/yamper and Kabu might actually be called something that isn't quite kabu but is very close.

I agree! The last real Fire type gym leader was Flannery in Hoenn. I don't count Chili because he shares the gym with his triple brothers who are Water and Grass type specialists. I think we desperately need a new Fire type gym!

Chili definitely shouldn't count.
Unova has an actual Water type gym; Grass and Fire didn't.

Honestly I'm not so concerned about the gyms and more hope we can have a choice of what gym we can face. That's one of the best things about gen 1 basically after beating Lt. Surge you can face gym leaders in whatever order you want. Also think you could do this in gen 4 though it's been so long since I played Platinum. Probably need to replay that game soon

With the emphasis on the trains & the wild area, I kind of get the feeling that this could partly happen in the game. For example, they could have the first 2-3 gyms available & then you can pick whichever one to face first. After you beat all three, the next 2-3 gyms will be available to do the same thing.

This way, the game would still be linear enough to stick with the plot but gives you more freedom than recent generations.

With the Galar League speculated to be rigged and corrupt and gym leaders being used to promote business I'm here for the Scottish lass dismantling capitalism story. /s -ish

GameExplain did a deep dive video on the E3 trailer (I think?) placing shots from the trailer on the map and they're thinking there'a a branching path system from the steampunk city.
