• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.
  • Hi all. We had a couple of reports of people's signatures getting edited etc. in a bad way. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and nobody has compromised any of our databases.

However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar passwords to elsewhere which has been accessed, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

So those Lv 60 NPCs listed earlier specialize in a type not used by a Gym Leader or E4. Are we one Poison type short?

you mean Felix and co? well those guys are Felix being bug, Kelvin being ground, Carnation being grass, Josephine being fairy and Antoin being poison (even though earlier reports had him being Lao). Also is it possible that these trainer classes are only placeholders for these people?

Shneak

this is a Nessa x Sonia stan account ✨
so probably something like...[some starting event, maybe the initial double battle with Matt & Courtney] -> Zinnia fight 1 -> Wallace & Steven battles -> [stuff happens, got to sky pillar?] -> Courtney & Matt round 2 to finish them off -> Zinnia final battle -> Plot dump -> Go get Rayquaza

This is a good theory. Interesting how Magma and Aqua could potentially team up. It's more interesting than most post-game plots, to be honest.

Ah, forgot about him.

I like the attempt at covering all of the types. They sort of did that with Johto having the other types, besides Dark (which could be loosely connected to TR).

I am so late to the party with these Trainer images, but holy crap! I was waiting to see what they did with Wallace...I should've waited a little longer because the surprise would've been great. Oh well. xD

^They go up to 50? That'd be cool because they just sorta gave up in RSE by Lilycove and you didn't see their fully evolved starter. Maybe they'll be better rivals in this game?

Lorde

Let's go to the beach, each.
May/Brendan's teams do seem better this time around, but I was hoping that their teams would surpass Wally's team in terms of levels, which they haven't done apparently. :c

They have a near full team and get a mega, too.

From the looks of htings you fight them a total of 6 times

Simply Fabulous
These games are turning out to be quite phenomenal from the looks of things. I'm loving the updated artwork for Winona, Tate & Liza, Wallace, Glacia and Drake as well as the fact that Game Freak is really going all out this around.

If anything, all of this information has only increased the hype level even more. :D

Pokemon: 4
Swellow (Lv. 33) (Moves: Quick Attack/Aerial Ace/Double Team/Endeavor)
Pelipper (Lv. 33) (Moves: Water Pulse/Roost/Protect/Aerial Ace)
Skarmory (Lv. 33) (Moves: Sand Attack/Air Cutter/Steel Wing/Aerial Ace)
Altaria (Lv. 35) (Moves: Earthquake/Dragon Breath/Cotton Guard/Roost)

I hadn't noticed that her TM is probably now Roost, not Aerial Ace
and now it has Cotton Guard

talk about a total pain

Time to pull out the Icy Wind Castform from the Weather Institute. And to think Dragon Dance Aerial Ace was annoying enough, but Roost and Cotton Guard? I hope the people who were annoyed at X/Y being too easy are happy now.

well xy actually had pretty nice movesets, too, even on normal trainers
the difficulty complaints extends past just those, after all

Well yeah, Victory Road trainers come to mind with their absurdly good movesets, but the gym leaders didn't have sets quite like Winona's Altaria here does. Guess that comes from being faithful to the originals though.

I'm actually a bit sad of no sign of Juan, I really like his look. Though I guess he could just be a non-battleable NPC this time around or something. Anyway, so far it looks like very little Emerald-content in the games though, with no Juan, no BF and non-Emerald team rosters (not that I'm surprised with the latter)... so probably no Johto-starters given to us either, boo.

716 - Mega Charm now has a sprite.
717 - Stubbed Item (Mega Glove from XY)

Does it mean we can equip Mega Glove or Mega Charm instead of Mega Bracelet anytime we want?
