• Hi all. We have had reports of member's signatures being edited to include malicious content. You can rest assured this wasn't done by staff and we can find no indication that the forums themselves have been compromised.

    However, remember to keep your passwords secure. If you use similar logins on multiple sites, people and even bots may be able to access your account.

General Competitive Pokémon Discussion Rules for the 7th Generation

Welcome to the 7th Gen Competitive Discussion section. First and foremost, this section is meant to act as place for people discuss what is currently happening in the metagame as well as start their own discussion. Read the forum rules before making any threads / posts.

***OFFICIAL 7TH GEN GENERAL COMPETITIVE DISCUSSION RULES***​

In summary:

  1. Follow all Serebii.net rules.
  2. Do not create help threads.
  3. Don't make threads that that provide little discussion.
  4. Don't post duplicate threads.
  5. Don't flame / troll other members.
  6. Don't derail topics.
  7. Posts & threads with no relevance to Competitive Pokémon have no place here.

1. Follow All Serebii.net Rules.


Follow all Serebii.net rules. These rules applies to the sub-forums on the site, and this forum is no different.​


2. Do not create help threads.


Help threads are prohibited. If you have a team that needs rated post a thread in the Rate My Team Section. If you want an opinion on a specific moveset for a certain Pokémon, use the Singles Rate Thread. If you have a general question about Competitive Pokémon use the Ask a Question Thread.​


3. Don't make threads that that provide little discussion.


Posting a thread which is likely unable to spark a long discussion is not something the staff here approves of. Any topic we deem as not fit for the forum will be deleted.​


4. Don't post duplicate threads.


There is no need to have duplicate posts of existing threads, so please don't post them. The only time this is allowed is when the previous thread hasn't been posted in for 60 days, making bumping it against the rules.​


5. Don't flame / troll other members.


A difference in opinion does not give you the right to flame and/or troll other members. Anyone caught doing this will be dealt with harshly.​


6. Don't derail topics.


Don't steer whatever discussion is happening in a specific thread away to something is completely unrelated to the topic. If you have another topic you feel needs to be discussed just make your own thread. Feel free to pm one of the mods of the section if you're not sure if it's ok.​


7. Posts & threads with no relevance to Competitive Pokémon have no place here.


Some discussion like strategies for the Battle tree are fine now, but anything that has absolutely nothing to do with Competitive Pokémon metagames should not be posted here. Any threads of that nature will be deleted and the thread-maker might possibly be infracted if it's just blatant spam and nonsense.​


Conclusion


Failure to comply with these rules will earn you a "Disobeying the Rules of a specific sub-forum infraction". If you have any questions, feel free to PM them to any of the Competitive Pokémon Forum staff, and if you see any rules being broken or have any issues please report them. Us mods can't always be everywhere at once due to our schedules, so using the report button benefits you as well. Anyways... Enjoy! :)
