I Personally think the PS3 isn't all that but some games look amazing and graphics are going to be amazing if they would of expected less the $600 i would of bougt it after Christmas and if the games weren't $130 it's just to pricey and since i rarely play my PS2 i think it's sort of a waste of money..
i also think that they have ditched us in Australia since we get it in march which i think is a long wait since Japan and America get it before christmas..
so in conclusion i feel that the Wii is better then the PS3 and PS3 just doesn't Rock my boat...
BTW the amount of money is all Australian Currency

erm why should the PS3 be jumbled into one topic like this? Personally I was going to start a PS3 launch thread when the time being, but in any case I'm so excited ^_^.
So many things to do with the PS3 and I can't wait to watch some high def movies and rock out on gaming too >

Do you honestly think we (Australians) are going to get the PlayStation 3 in March? Read the website, there's no mention of Australia at all.What I think will happen is this:
- The PS3 will launch November '06, in limited numbers in Japan and the US. (Obviously)
- The European launch date will be pushed back because Sony will make their largest markets their first priority (Japan and the US).
- EU is a larger market than Australia, so they get priority over us.
Al in all, I wouldn't hold your breath for a March '07 PS3 launch in Aus. The very best we can hope for is a September '07 launch (with limited numbers). Although I doubt we'll even get that. IMO, I'd expect the PS3 to launch in Australia in March '08.

it does seem ahrsh that they only care about their largest market even though they make the most money that way why would they just not care about Aus and EU it's just stupid

Think about it, if you were in their position would you release something as big as the PS3 in a market which will get you little profit or one that will get you a larger one?
I played the PS3 last night at target and i must say it sucks really bad. The thing is got to be the biggest ****ing thing iv ever seen. Almost as big as a ****ing pc tower , way bigger than the xbox. The controller is ****. the plastic is rough and uncomfortable. The triggers were moddified to be more like the 360 and the guide button in the middle mimicked the 360's. The lack of rumble screwed the controller bad. personally i only see me getting a ps3 for MGS4 , armored core 4 and gundam.
