Generation 4 Pokemon Icons

Because I can't find my old Gen 4 pokemon icon thread, I have decided to make a new thread showcasing The pokemon revealed today. And here they are:

It took me a while to make those icons. Especially the legendaries. These icons'd go great on any desktop and would be awesome as cursors, too. If I find my old thread, I'll link to it so you can see the other gen 4 icons I made.

Nice! The Manaphy one would make a nice mouse cursor because of it's head... thing. It could easily be the pointer.

The Munchlax one looks a bit odd. Mainly because of the eyes. But then, I've always been against the idea of Munchlax and those DAMN EYES!!!

These are awesome, But like Thedarkcipher, I'm wondering, how can I turn them into Cursors?

To make icons into cursors, you usually copy/paste the icons into a curssor editor like Microangelo. From there you save it as a .cur file. If you want to animate it, you could make an animation like you'd do a gif file and save it in an animator as a .ani file.

Say you want to the squirrel pokemon into a cursor. You take the gif file and copy/paste it into an animated cursor editor like Microangelo as one of the frames. I would then move stuff around to animate it by adding frames. Once I finish, I save it as an .ani file.

To use the cursor, you go to the Control Panel, then you go to Mouse/Pointers. From there you can select the icon you want to change and then browse for the new squirrel pokemon cursor you just made.

For these pokemon, I'd probably do animations like Perrapu flying or tanmanta floating with bubbles appearing. As for Munchy's eyes, I never got around to fixing them. I could make the dots bigger. I dunno. I've made so many icons for SPP over the years. Maybe some back then should be redone.

Those are pretty good. The only problem I have is that the Lucario one could have an outlin edit. To me, it looks like the arm is attatched to its head.

It isn't. In the Microangelo Librarian the icon has a few pixels seperating where the hand and the nose are. It's just that the icon is 32 by 32 pixels and the color of the nose and hand are the same. When I drew it, I couldn't put that hand anywhere else.

Well, as in icons they are bad...cause they aren't small enough..mabye if you made OverWorlds of these they would be much better!

But, mabye try and make them smaller..

And, there are alot f details! I love them! ^.^

Not small enough? Regulation desktop icons are 32 by 32 pixels. Which these are. Also, I don't do overworld sprites. Just icons and cursors which are different as they'd be on the desktop.

oh, sorry, I missed understood your meaning of "Icon" xD

I thought as in the ones of Pokemon in the game..sory about that..

It's okay and easy to get confused by that. And, I dunno about giving out the icons just yet. Might want to wait until I complete gen 4 so you have a whole set. I had a site with all these icons but I took it down as it was a hassle.
