Which generation of games do you think was hardest to complete?
Saying complete I mean beat the elite 4 and catch the pokemon after it.

R/B/Y - Mewtwo
G/S/C - Ho-oH/Lugia/Ho-oH and Lugia
Ru/Sa/E - Rayquaza & regi's/Rayquaza,Groudon,Kyogre and the regi's?

So which do you think?

Not Kanto.

Er, Hoenn, I suppose. Johto was tough, but it was because there seemed to be some sort of limit on Levels.....We really wouldn't have a challenge if we went back with Pokémon that are the same levels as ours in R/B/Y/G/LG/FR/LG/R/S/E would be. Hoenn's bloody tough, though, and that's not even including the massive amount of Legendaries we've gotta get.

Hoenn was simple. I caught every single Pokémon, and beat the E4 in about 10 hours, which was 1/10 of the amount of time training all of my Pokémon to Level 50.

The hardest for me was Johto.

well, the gameboy pokemon games are already really easy to beat... but the most difficult would probably be... well, I don't know really... I've only had a single playthrough in my Gold game... and that was ages ago...

out of every single pokemon game out there, I'd go with pokemon XD... taking on XD001 should be simple with the Masterball, but then taking on an entire team of 6 shadow pokemon (three of them being the legendary birds, who proved to be a huge pain to catch in FR/LG) and catching every single one of them is going to prove extremely difficult if I plan on playing the game...

For the GBA games I'd say Johto, it just seemed harder(and it was longer because of the 2 regions), but I'd say XD out of all of the games. That last battle was just killer. X.x Too many shadow pokemon...

Hmm, well I always thought that G/S/C were pretty tough. IIRC that one female dragon trainer gym leader, forget her name, was pretty good. Also, the dogs were tough for me, I always use master balls for quick escapers like them, namely latias, but there were 3 of them. It was actually probably just hard for me because I was still young and un-skilled. The games were also larger and more complex which sorta made it harder, I think.

with sure, the hardest pokemon game is pokemon stadium 2, if we aren´t talking about N64 or NGC, so the hardest is hoenn, but jotho is almost tied.

I found G/S/C to be the hardest. In R/B/Y I usually creamed the Elite 4 by the time I got there, and in R/S/E its no different. In G/S/C, though, I find my pokemon have a lot of trouble with the Elite 4 because they're at relatively low levels, despite my efforts to train them. By the time I get to Lance my pokemon are horribly worn down, and I wouldn't have many items on me because of a lack of money. And then there's those three Legendary Beasts...those were a pain to catch. Ho-oh and Lugia were about usual difficulty for legendaries, but the beasts were a major pain...

Old Kanto: Not really. Only annoying part is, Pokemon can freakin' dodge balls.
Johto: Pretty tough. Not for most of you guys though. I can't trade. And half the Pokedex is traded Pokemon.

New Kanto: Pretty tough. National dex is heck (see Johto), and the Elite Four are finally hard the first time through.

New Hoenn: Heck. Feebas, National Dex, needing all 14 BF symbols...
