What would be a good ev set and moveset for gengar be? mine is:

Gengar
modest
aproximate values for evs spatk 252 speed 178 HP 80
- Thunder bolt
- Darkpulse/ Shadowball
- Focus blast
- Gigadrain

Shadow Ball is better than Dark Pulse since it gets STAB. You could max out Spd and SAtt, since your Gengar is a straight forward sweeper. Make it hold Choice Scarf/Specs.

Hypnosis is an option over Giga Drain. If you do give it Hypnosis, then make it hold Expert Belt/Life Orb/Leftovers instead.
