Genshin Impact: We Gacha Primo Anime Waifus Right Here!

I mean as repititive as it gets, genshin has a lot more stuff to do than (say) Yakuza Kiwami and yet i find myself enjoying the latter more than the former. It’s not just the gameplay, it’s the whole resin system that i find annoying : Too much effort for too little gain.

Not familiar with that game, but Hoyoverse likely sees the Resin system as a necessity for the gacha system. They don't want you to play the game all at once and instead spread things out over time to get you to buy more Primogems, either to exchange for new characters that they promote to you over time, or you could spend them on more Resin and pay to play more. You might just be burned out on the gacha mechanics.

Not really, i play FGO regularly. What genshin lacks is a reward system especially for endgame players. For example the spiral abyss floor 9~12 gives you like 600 primos for 30+ hours of farming. Not worth it.

Hmm, well I don't think I've played any gacha games that have it much better when it comes to "endgame" content like that (the only other ones I've played are Mario Kart Tour and Pokemon Masters EX, and those don't really give out much more of their gacha currency and seem to require even more grinding than Genshin in fact).

Oh FGO has a lot of rewards for endgame players. You’ll never get bored.

Maybe, but I've also heard from a friend who's played it that it has its own issues, primarily that the pity system is less generous than Genshin's. Every gacha game seems to do something like this to get players to keep purchasing currency.

Speaking of other Gacha games, I actually do wonder what exactly Azure Lane is (Other than that it is (most likely) a gacha game that is full of WWII ships as waifus)

I've only found out about the game's existence just recently...

Also, sometimes I think that anime can get too far when it comes to creating female characters

The gacha isn't really a problem in FGO because a lot of 1* and 2* servants (characters) perform as good as a 5* with enough investment. For example a lvl 90 Arash outperforms a lot of 5* archers in the game. Genshin doesn't have a lot of variety.

Time for Kazuha!

Also at the end of the livestream they gave us a teaser trailer for Sumeru, seemingly narrated by Kusanali (the Dendro Archon):

Looks much more tropical than I was expecting, I was expecting it to be mainly desert but there's a lot of lush tropical jungles on display here (although Kusanali does hint that there are some desert areas in the region).

The Sumeru teaser made me want to go and siege Constantinople

The official Genshin Impact Youtube channel has posted a preview of Sumeru detailing the introduction of the Dendro element and new elemental reactions:

They've confirmed that two new reactions, Bloom and Catalyze, with the former being a reaction between Hydro and Dendro and the latter being a reaction between Electro and Dendro. No details on the effects have been given however, just vague statements about how the reactions combine the "themes" of each element. They did, however, confirm that some Dendro objects can swap between different states with each of the three Dendro reactions (the two new ones plus Burning) that the player can interact with in different ways. Enemies can also enter different states and will drop different pickups depending on what state you defeat them in.

Version 3.0 is out, anyone still playing? I just finished the Archon Quests yesterday and hoo boy.

The whole Groundhog Day loop was a fairly interesting plot line. Can't say I was expecting it and it's not your usual Groundhog Day loop as you spend the entire time figuring out.

And it confirms what everyone already assume: yes, Nahida is the Dendro Archon, Lesser Lord Kusanali. It feels a bit early for that revelation, but I like the way they handled it. They introduced this mechanic where you have to sift through clues NPCs give you to deduce what's going on in the Groundhog Day loop, and Nahida constantly asks you questions to help you figure out the answers yourself using this mechanic. At the end, one of the questions she asks is "Who am I?", and you have to use one of the clues to figure out that Nahida is Kusanali. Very fitting for the God of Wisdom.

Also it seems like they kind of lampshaded that everyone assumed that Nahida was Kusanali, after you figure it out Nahida is surprised you figured it out so quickly and Paimon says even she figured it out because "everything about her is different". So even if you didn't see the leaks, it's not a hard guess at all.

Also dook-dook. Guess even the Dendro Archon is not above potty humor.

Anyway, got 180 Intertwined Fates set aside for Nahida so it's just a matter of waiting for her to finish her nappies several weeks from now whenever they finally run her banner and then the Goddess of Smol can finally come home.
