After leaving the GS Ball at Kurt's Ash heads to the Azalea Gym with it's leader Bugsy who specialises in Bug Pokémon. Its a 3 on 3 battle against Bugsy's Spinarak, Metapod and Scyther...will Ash defeat him?

I loved how much spunk he showed towards Ash when he was arguing. It made me giggle. Especially since he has Mokuba's VA. ^_^

Dumb strategy, though. 'Jump over it!' I mean seriously. That was just dumb luck. >>

But I HAD to be the frist to review this one. ^_^; 11/10 from me! XD Because Bugsy has shorter shorts than Misty. Fanservice-boy! <3

I really don't like Bugsy. He's my least favorite of the gym leaders, because he's incredibly annoying. Ash did pretty good in this episode, though, and at least Chikorita was able to beat a pokemon she isn't strong against. I also liked Team Rocket's jazzy motto, and their trying to sneak into the gym dressed as plants. I still can't help wondering why Victreebel randomly pops out of its pokeball during that scene, though. It does kind of give a preview of Wobbuffet, though. :)

Bugsy is my second fav. gymleader, I love him! I liked a lot how his scyther battled against cyndaquil, although he lost :(

Bugsy is also one of my favorite Gym Leaders becuase his bug type pokemon are the coolest bug types ever. I also loved the part Team Rocket got String Shotted by a bunch of bug type pokemon.

heh... I noticed a pretty funny animation error in this episode. Right after Tsukushi sends out his Strike, Kasumi says something. While she talks, Togepi seems to be matching her lip flaps. The same thing happens a bit later.

Bugsy is probably my favorite Johto Gym leader. It was interesting how Ash tried to use Cyndaquil at the start, but it couldn't use fire attacks so he had to call it back and use Chikorita instead. Funny how Chikorita got owned by Falkner, but won this time against a bug Pokemon. In the end, Cyndaquil earns its pay. :D

All gym battle episodes are good nice seeing Bugsy again it's rare to see gym leaders as young as Misty or Ash but it's always a treat. watching Metapod fight was a real treat since most people just wait for it to evolve in Butterfree before they use it. Anyway grats to Ash for winning his 2nd gym badge a Hive Badge.

This was a decent episode,and almost always gym battles are great.Battle between Ash and Bugsy for his second badge was pretty cool with certain dose of surprising elements and interesting outcomes.For example that Metapod,i really didnt expected that he can be so fast and it was nice seeing Chikorita winning against Spinarak despite type disadvantage.

Battle between Cyndaquil and Scyther was enjoyable to watch and even though i wanted that Scyther wins,im glad that Ash managed to win his badge.Overall this was a good episode.

Cold as ice
Bugsy is the most annoying of all the Johto Gym leaders, and i was glad when Ash wiped the floor with his Scyther.

He put up a decent fight, but in the end it just wasn't good enough.
