Getting a koffing with sludge bomb & will-o-wisp

I want a koffing with sludge bomb and will-o wisp, but I used my sludge bomb tms on Ariados and Victreebell. I was going to breed muk(muk learns sludge bomb naturally) with koffing to get a koffing with sludge bomb but then I wouldn't have will-o-wisp... Is it possible to get a koffing with will-o-wisp and sludge bomb that isn't from a tm?

Koffing should learn sludge bomb on its own...

Koffing are able to learn Will-O-Wisp? (back on subject)... yeah breed Muk with Koffing and hopefully the NEW Koffing will learn Sludge Bomb.

Koffing learn will-o-wisp as an egg move. I treid breeding a female koffing with sludge bomb with a duskull with will-o-wisp but the koffing didn't have sludge bomb. I guess i'll have to go with sludge bomb and forget will-o-wisp, since it's impossible unless I saved my sludge bomb for koffing... Mods can close this if you want.

can't be done. the other pokemon that can learn both of those moves are houndour/houndoom/smeargle (who can't breed with koffing), and the gastly line. since gastly doesn't learn either of them as a level-up move (one's an egg and one's a TM), it would need to be hatched with both in order to have them without a TM.

in short, can't do it.

You should really stop posting when you don't know the answer for sure because that is totally wrong.
Will-o-wisp is an egg move it can learn.
However it can't learn both via breeding at the same time. You can get will-o-wisp with toxic, pain split, and shadow ball on the same one but that's about all i can add

Yes, Sludge Bomb is a better choice. A Wheezing can learn both moves, though. You have to get male houndoom that knows will-o-wisp, then breed it with the female koffing that knows sludge bomb, because it is the offspring of a male muk and female Wheezing/Koffing. It is a very complicated chain, like trying to get Armaldo to know Rock Slide in ruby.

Well don't bother breeding Muk with Koffing, i've tried it already to try and get SB. however....it is NOT impossible to get Will-o-wisp on koffing...breed it with err.. the ghost...i think duskull (sory if i spelt it wrong).

Otherwise find some friends if they have the SB tm. and trade otherwise ..start again? if you got another cart of course..but i think your stuck.. as am i.

Egg moves are passed down from the FATHER ONLY.
The only moves that a mother can pass down are moves that the father knows as well
this would belong better in the breeding sticky though

ignore anyone who claims that you can pass moves down from a female. they don't know what they're talking about.

the ONLY WAY of hatching a koffing with sludge bomb and WOW is by breeding a male koffing/gastly that knows both moves with a female koffing. unfortunately, in order to get a male of either of those that knows both, you need a TM.

imo flamethrower>wow beacuse when skarmory switches in expecting sludgebomb 40% damage and a potential burn can seriously damage skarmbliss.

if you want a skarm counter on weezing, use FB instead of sludge bomb. WOW is used on weezing because it's a physical wall, and burns cut a poke's attack in half.

yes, that's how you get a koffing with both moves, but the thread-maker was asking whether there was any way to get both moves without a TM, which can't be done.

That's weird, 'cause when I bred my Absol and Houndoom to get a Faint attacking Absol, I got Flamethrower as a bonus. My Houndoom knew Flamethrower naturally, and I forgot Tm's could be transerred from the father, which was why I was surprised.

So I nicknamed the newborn Absol Night Fire.

I tried the same thing to get a False swiping slash Leech Seeding Seedot. It was very difficult, but I think only the original users of a move can pass down an egg move. Which explained why my Paras didn't pass down False Swipe to Seedot. It's a very complicated thing, so when push comes to shove, you have to choose one, so I forgot about False swipe and kept Leech Seed.

Okay, I think this has been determined...you can't breed a Koffing with WoW and Sludge Bomb because there aren't any Breeding chains that would get both moves onto him. You'll need to use the TM.

In the future, please post all Breeding-related questions in the Breeding sticky, and for the love of GOD if you don't know what you're talking about, please don't post things as fact.
