Getting Colo Soon

I should be getting my Colossum in the mail tomorrow. I've completed XD awhile back but I'm mostly getting Colo for trading so I can continue to complet my pokedex on Emerald. But I made this thread to ask about what I should look out for in the game. What kind of stuff is there to do and such? And what doesn't it have compared to XD?

it doesn't have: exclusive purification moves, lugia/bird trio, as wide a selection of shadows, as many locations, the move tutor lady.

what it does have: the legendary gerbils, ho-oh. it's also the only way to get the gerbils with good IVs, since the wandering ones in FR/LG has sucky stats and you can't SR for a good nature. it also has a glitch that lets you use the master ball over and over again.

Feature-wise, though, there's not much that XD doesn't have.

How can you tell if you have an early versions?

And I don't care about IV's, I don't do competive play. It seems like a waste of time to do all that work.

The later versions are the Player's Choice ones, I believe.

Colosseum was more fun imo, and getting all 3 Johto starters and Legendary Dogs is much harder in any other game. It's also the only game you can get Ho-oh in at all, unless you can go to a Nintendo event.

Colo is great, the only annoying thing in it is that you have to find a pc to save, and you dont have more than one shadow pokemon to snag per opponent. otherwise its much the same, except for the annoying girl tagging along behind you! enjoy it though as its really great!

colo purification progress is much harder i mean it doesn't work as easy.

i personally enjoyed XD better but i played colo for ho-oh

Colo was actually more fun to play. You actually take a while to complete the game, and it also has a better story plot. I think in my opinion that this game was more unique than Pokemon XD was. ^^ As for the things you need to watch out for the game... you need to find a PC to save in, purifying the Shadow Pokemon might be a bit more challenging, and that's about it, I think. ^^; Also, you might get a bit annoyed by Rui (the girl who's with you) following you. Anyway, the game is actually worth playing. ^^

Got it yesterday and it's really fun! The battles are much faster then XD, Rui doesn't bug me, I'm angry that Mirror B is in this game too!

I'm dissaponted that there is no part in this game like Pokemon Stadum! I was really hoping I could get to try out all the third gen pokemon! Although I knew it was going to happen but the pokemon still don't do any movement when they enter battle like in Stadum.
