Getting to the battle frontier

How do you get to the battle frontier?
I beat the pokemon league the first time with a filler pokemon from LG and then heard you had to use your own pokemon so I just completed it with my own pokemon and I have had no call from Scott
How do I get the call?

Have you gone to the ship? there is an option to go to the frontier if you would go there. Just try that first.

I have gone there. It says Lilycove and that is it.

I´m not sure, but if you travel, Scott will appear in the ship and he´ll give you the frontier pass.
