It's been years since I last read volume 4 of Electric Tale of Pikachu, the final one which is titled 'Surf's Up Pikachu'. I vaguely recall Giovanni being in it, but I'm not sure. Bulbapedia doesn't mention him being in it either.

Was he ever in that manga? If so, what was his role? Thanks, y'all!

And by "briefly", I mean these two pages are about it, aside from some single panels.
