Giovanni's Son?

I dont know if any of you have noticed this but if you talk to the guy that stole the Sapphire Plate from you, after you get it back, he will say something like,"You remind me of Giovanni's son... No. He had red hair..." That gets me thinking some things:

1. Red hair. Who have you known in the Pokemon games that has red hair? I thought of that one dude who stole one of the starters from Prof. Elm in G/S/C.

2. If any of you have read the new FR/LG Manga Series, you would know that Giovanni is in fact looking for his son and for obvious reasons, it is Silver who is the counterpart of the dude that stole one of the starters in the second generation games.

So anyone have any thoughts to this?
This could just be nothing.
Or this could have been already covered and if so, I give my humble apologies to Mods and Members. But I couldnt find anything on this in the searches that I did on this topic. No matter, I am still sorry if this was already covered.

A lot of people have noticed this, yus XD I find it kinda weird myself. I thought the same as you, and thought, "Heh, Silver's prolly Giovanni's kid." A lot of people have debated on it, but we don't know if it means anything, or if it's just information to fill your Fame Checker info on Giovanni.

As I know, Gary has brown/yellow hair, not red. I don't know who is his mom, in FR/LG you can see only his sister who has brown/yellow hair too.

Gary wouldn't be Giovanni's son because he's Oak's grandson. Can you imagine Giovanni being Oak's son? Oaks a good guy. I think not. Then again, I've never seen the anime, so who am I to know?

Anyway, I see this as a reference to GSC, and I think he was talking about the GSC rival.

In the manga it's confirmed it's the GSC rival.

Applying videogame logic, it can't be any red-headed (Or similar colors.) person in FR/LG, because if they were, such info would have been added in their Fame Checker section too...

That leaves the Johto Red-heads, which are Whitney and the Rival. Still, gotta say that Nintendo covered this mystery very nicely...

The GSC Rival is the most likely one, but I guess we'll never know...

Yeah I believe that if Giovanni's son was a character, it would have to have been your rival from Gold/Silver/Crystal. He's evil, likes to steal Pokemon, and says absolutely nothing intelligent until he turns good, all traits of Giovanni. I've never read any of the manga stories so did not know that Silver is that guy's counterpart, I probably would have said that they are the same person. Anyway, without a future game involving Team Rocket, we will never know.

hmm... well you know how Giovanni was holding his base in the Trainer Tower on Seven Island in the Manga series? I wonder if that has anything to do with it... Maybe if you beat it over and over again something will happen... I really dont know. Maybe if they made some sort of remake of the second generation games. But we dont know that. And yes I was talking about the G/S/C rival, not Gary.

I can think about only one character who likes look ash/red/fire/whatever and have red hair: Ritchie. If I remember well, Ritchie is based on the hero from Pkmn Yellow. I think that means they are gonna make something like Pkmn ThunderYellow, or something like that as a remake of Pkmn yellow...

All we know is that Geo's son has red hair,and the fingers seem to point to the GSC rival.
I really don't think it's Richie or Ash,since they have no connection to the game nor a story in the anime involving this event.
