Yup. Giovanni has a son. Hes your rival in GSC. Several facts point to it: his hatred of TR, in FR/LG, a Rocket scientist aasks if you are Giovanni's son and realizes no because Giovanni's son has red hair. An what does your rival in GSC have, red hair. and also his face looks a bit like Giovanni.
as for a name, its just Silver, but i call him Ricardo cuz it just sounds like an evil name.

Really? I thought Giovanni could have a son or daughter? In FR/LG the guy said that you look like Giovanni's KID, I don't think he said son. Pulse, what if your playing as the Female Trainer? Does the guy still mistakes you for Giovanni's kid? Or does the text change? Because if Giovanni only has a son, well then, why would the guy get confuse the female trainer for Giovanni's son? Unless, Giovanni has both a son and a daughter with Red hair.

i never thought of that, unless Silver's hair is so long that the scientist still got you confused if you are playing as the female trainer..

Yeah. There was a rumor that if you got a Lv 100 Nidoking and gave it to a Rocket in Celadon you get the key to the truck. That kind of fits in. I never noticed.

and do you mean the truck where the S.S. Anne is at... Ive used the walk through walls cheat, and that truck is just there for looks for some reason, it doesnt go anywhere.

Actually, Giovanni's son is confirmed to be Silver, the rival from G/S/C.

Actually I don't think anything was confirmed about the Silver-Giovanni relationship. But then, the evidence is pointing in that direction.

True. The game just said that Giovanni's kid had red hair. I'm sure the G/S/C rival isn't the only one in the Pokemon world that has red hair.

Also, what about the female trainer? The guy said GIOVANNI'S KID, not son. Here is the Fame Checker entry:

"You... you're not GIOVANNI's kid are you? No, that can't be right.
GIOVANNI's kid had red hair."

If Giovanni only has a son, why would that guy get confused the female trainer? Unless, the rival in G/S/C looks like a girl, or the guy is just blind. But I didn't play as the female trainer, so I don't know if he still says that, but since its on the fame checker, I think he does.
