If she's your Speed Pokemon, don't give her a Macho Brace in battle. It makes her very slow. This is only an item to use while EV training. What sets Staraptor apart from her other bird sisters is the fact that she has access to Close Combat. This lets you hit Ice, Rock, and Steel types for super-effective damage. Don't pass up Close Combat.
