Giving up pokemon?

Cobalt2

Some Random Guy...
My friends and I have been starting and quitting pokemon repeatedly before.
Who here has thought of quitting, or did and came back?...

I am debating whether or not to quit, and if i am too old for it...

Zibdas

not bad
You're never too old. If you think that, get a hobby. That's Pokemon related.

I quit a little after the Mew event for SS. I got back on in April, and I regret not getting the WIN2011 stuff...

I've quit and come back numerous times. I sometimes get bored waiting between releases of the main series, for example, after playing Platinum I was put off for a while, but then HG/SS came out and I was hooked again. I got Black and my obsession came back with a vengeance XD
Also, I've given the Sinnoh games another try since then and they're not as bad as I thought them to be originally.

I quit playing about 2 years ago when I got addicted to animal crossing for some reason... recently my friend got me back into it and i made an account on here... I'm hooked again. xD
although I regret missing all the events... I could've had an arceus, shaymin and many others, but NOOO, pokemon was "boring". ;-;

I quit after I get bored of the pokemon game I last bought then come back when a new game comes out. Lol ~.~

Because of this I missed the shiny Entei, Suicune and Raikou. :(

I did consider quitting and decided not to buy B/W since it looked retarded from my point of view. But then I played it and realized, "Who am I kidding? I love pokemon!" Don't let peers make the decision for you, only if you legitimately want to quit, trust me. I know had I not bought White I would've regretted it.

Bibarel's adorable.
No matter how many times I quit playing, I always come back for more.

I don't think I've ever actually quit, but rather just gone on a hiatus. I tend to fall out 4 or so months after a new games release, and come back with the next release.

I'll probably end up lasting longer after B/W's release, though, as I've found the competitive aspect of the game. I just love the strategicness that comes with it.

I quit after I finished Emerald, but came back to it with a vengeance when Platinum came out. I haven't thought of quitting since.

Sometimes I would get discouraged from playing because of all the emphasis on competitive battling, EV/IV training, and event only legendaries, which I'm not interested in.
But I've stopped caring about those things now, and I play to please myself, and catch the Pokémon I like.

I don't EV train my team, too much of a hassle for me, personally. Good for you if you do though

I Like Em Shiny
I quit for a year after I "finished" Diamond but then I got White on the released date and got HeartGold two weeks ago.

The Essential One
After a while of playing a new game, I just stop playing it unless someone wants to battle me which is not very often. I'll probably stop playing White when I obtain all the final evolutions of all Pokemon I can get.

Winning, Duh!
I quit not long after platinum, but I got back in when B/W came out. I dusted off the old Gameboy Advanced, and got back to Gen III

Never, at least not recently, have I thought "Maybe I'm getting way to old for Pokemon, and should quit?" Nothing and no one can make me quit such a beautiful franchise!

Derp

[Something funny]
I quit for about 1 year once but ended up just getting sucked in again when HG/SS came out.

So I don't think I'm giving up any time soon.
