• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

I enjoyed Spanish Teacher quite a bit considering it didn't really advance the plots, other than Kurt finding out about Finn and Rachel's engagement and Sam and Mercedes continuing their little story. But there were some nice character moments for Emma, Santana, Sue, Becky and Will which weren't all that repetitive and actually got to the cores of the characters as we've always known them rather than their more forced storylines. Sue getting broody was played surprisingly well, and following Jean's death it makes perfect sense that she would be seeking more in her life; running for congress, doing charity work, helping with Will's proposal, and now wishing to start a family, all while maintaining that vitriolic craziness that Jane Lynch plays so well. It really felt like an episode about the adults, and now is the time to do it because regionals, nationals, senior prom, NYADA finals and graduation are likely going to dominate the rest of the season. Ricky Martin was nowhere near as irritating as I expected, and didn't overshadow the episode the way they tried to make Paltrow do. I hope he's a Chenoweth-esque supporting character from now on, dropping in every now and again but not under the pretence that he's going to change everybody's life. Plus, he really is one handsome son of a gun! I'm very jealous.

I'm not sure if people realized this, but whenever Sam and Mercedes have a moment they play a slow version of "Summer Nights" in the background.

Also I wonder how they're gonna randomly drop Sue's new storyline...

Ok yesterdays episode was deffinately boring.....but it had afew good moments:

- Emma's pamphlets are amazing!
- Will is very very bad at spanish.....muy muy bad.
- When Becky told Sue that she'd be a good mom I went "Awwwww"

too bad the songs all kinda flopped....

Well the Christmas one aired today, since I saw it half way in (7:30 when it started at 7) it was really weird. They had the black and white where the Glee club seemed to be doing some sort of comedy show? Well kind of something that looked like a children's special. What exactly was going on and why did they have it like that?, but then it changed back to normal which wasn't too bad.

It seems Channel 11 got their head out of their asses, because they made Glee at 7:30 next Friday now, much better (Perhaps people complained and they actually listened). So the Will & Emma gets married storyline? When did Will propose exactly? Hope it's a good episode (But I presume you guys are talking about that which doesn't sound too good, oh well will have to see for myself)

Will proposed in the episode titled Yes/No, which isn't that far off from where you are now.

The black and white segment was a homage/affectionate parody of 50s/60s saccharine television specials, particular a Judy Garland one (they even modeled the set after it). As such, it borrowed heavily from 50s/60s television in terms of pacing, line delivery, writing.

It was the most brilliant the show's been since the front 13 season 1 imo.

Emma's pamphlets had me laughing quite a bit, especially how creatively they were timed. Will was definitely bad at Spanish...

This is going to sound weird coming from me, but I LOVE Glee. Haha, this is the first time I have seen this thread. I love their music! Naya Rivera's (Santana) voice is amazing! Emma's pamphlets were indeed amazing. The highlites, to me, of last week's episode were 'Sexy and I Know It' and 'Las Isla Bonita'.

No one is more macho of/from Will Schuster!

Yeah, said lack of bilinguality aside, the Spanish episode was kinda meh. I didn't see the end, did Will get the ten-year? I'm suprised they didn't do any Ricky Martin songs, he's got mui mui duende!

I'm not watching tonight's episode yet, although I can hear Stereo Hearts through the walls of my house. :/

The whitney Houston coincidence was actually pretty amazing :D

And wow the Karofsky moment was really heart-touching. I felt for him.

And Rory, that lying sonofabi.....tsk tsk.

Gross. I could vomit! Karofsky does not deserve trash like that. I felt so bad for him tonight. I was just picturing Kurt leaving Blaine and planting a big wet one on Karofsky. I'll gladly do it!

My thoughts are the inverse of yours.

Sebastian does not deserve trash like Karovsky…… Let Kurt take the Hulk….

And Blaine can get Sebastian...

"Heart" had a few nice surprises. Obviously there's been a lot of hype about Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell playing Rachel's dads (and many hilarious instances where people who don't know who BSM is have questioned why neither of them are black...) and they were both hilarious. Carol and Burt looked so damn uncomfortable the entire time in the house, and the reveal that they were trying to discourage the wedding with their feigned enthusiasm was well done.
The Rory/Artie/Sugar story was a little... yeah... it was just there to give the characters without a current love interest something to do, but there were some amusing moments and I'm a big fan of Sugar. She's actually one of the more realistic characters on the show, because we all know at least one teenage girl who really acts like her but is harmless enough to put up with. The new guy, who I had no expectations of because I never watched The Glee Project and wanted to be surprised, was well thought-out even if his "Gay OK- yay or nay?" story only comprised of three brief moments. But he's got a different look and a very nice voice so I'm glad we'll be seeing more of him. The GodSquad is a pretty cool little group who can be used to balance out what is usually a VERY leftwing show. Even as an atheist myself, I can appreciate that a show like Glee needs to represent people equally in order to get away with some of its fillibustering.
The Santana/Brittany stuff was nice, especially the scene with Figgins who is sadly underused these days. And it's about time they had a proper kissing scene that was meant to be sweet rather than titilating. The Karofsky stuff, while a bit out-of-left-field because we've seen him only once all season, makes perfect sense if you've ever known someone who is adjusting to their own sexuality. Karofsky's been established as a passionate and impulsive guy who doesn't think things through very rationally, and Kurt is the only out-and-proud guy his age he has ever confided in, so it works. But they were right to have Kurt tactfully let him down, and when Blaine showed up at the last minute it just felt... right.
The Whitney tribute was nice, but I'm not entirely sure was a coincidence... I think they might have done some last-minute reshooting. There's a solid chance that it was a legit coincidence though, especially since it's the most obvious song they could have possibly chosen for a Mercedes solo in an episode about love. The sudden turn in the Mercedes triangle was actually brilliant. That one shot of Shane crying as she explained was the most character development he's had, and I'm glad they went in a more balanced direction and made it clear that Sam WAS in the wrong.
My only real quibble with the episode, which I know had a goofy tone but Valentines specials are goofy by design so it's easily forgiven, is that the adults were AGAIN missing. Why no Will/Emma Valentines moment? Why no glimpse into the lonely life of Sue? Why have we not seen Cooter since he and Bieste married offscreen? Where's the obligatory Will/Finn chat about marriage? The show tries to juggle a lot of characters but there were also a few too many songs in this one to excuse missing off several principle players.

Karofsy and Sebastain are both actually very good characters in the long run.

Personally I think Karofsy is one of the more honestly acted characters in the show and I felt for him tonight.

Sebastian has the potential to be an even bigger dirtbad which will be certain to see in coming episodes.
