Glitch In My XD?

I'm having trouble continuing in plot in my Gale of Darkness game. I'm not sure if I've triggered a glitch that won't allow me to continue, but that's what it seems like.

I was at the part where your Snag Machine is taken and you must battle Zook (the guy with the Shadow Zigzagoon at a new place that "might have ties to Cipher"). However, I was unable to defeat him because I had previously forgotton to heal my Pokemon. You know how that goes ):

However, now everytime I try to battle him again, he just says "Get lost, punk! Or are you angling for another thrashing at the hands of the mighty ZOOK?"

I checked Serebii's walkthrough on the game and I seem to have done every other plot-related thing possible to get to that point. I have found Bonsly and given it to the little girl, and I talked to the mom in Gateon Port about the book/interview deal. I can't figure out why it won't let me battle him again or continue anything!

Is there a glitch in my game where I can't continue no matter what, or am I forgetting something obvious?

have you gone to the outskirt stand to talk with hordel? once you do that, you can then infiltrate team snagem's hideout, and from there you get the snag machine back, and that will allow you to battle zook again and get inside.

Deathrocker, that's EXACTLY what happened to me when I first played XD! I was so frustrated and had no clue how to get through him, especially due to the fact that all the strategy guides assumed you would beat Zook -_-

But yeah, do what KingBattlus said - it should help ^_^

I don't see a place called Outskirt Stand on my map... Or is it supposed to be on the map? Either way, I don't know where that is.

EDIT: Nevermind! I didn't realize that I was supposed to talk to Secc in Pyrite Town in order to activate the Outskirt Stand! Thanks a lot, guys.

Okay. Same here, that happened to me and I was SOOO frustrated! I mean, the guides and stuff just assume you will beat Zook when actually he is really hard to beat.
