I think Tyranitar have more similarities with Tyrannosaurus than Godzilla.
But that was some interesting ideas
It's based off Godzilla, which is based of the T-rex....

I personally think Tyranitar looks much more like Godzilla. For example, it's got a bulkier body and those spiky things on it's back.

None of the other ones are intentional, though. Some of them don't even look alike, such as Bisharp, Heracross, and Muk.

Godzilla isn't based off a T-rex but rather a cross breed of a Whale and a Gorilla.

Lol, I only made this cuz I thought some of them looked the same, I never implied anyone copied anyone. And no to Vibravarules, I don't have a bigger one

there's a subterranean Godzilla monster with drills on its hands. Reminds me a lot of Exadrill.

Pokemon comes from Japan. Of course there's always one resembles their national mascot Godzilla.

Tyranitar is indeed based on Godzilla.

I think the only other really definite case of a Pokemon being based on a Godzilla monster (rather than just sharing a common myth or animal for inspiration) is the Nido-family and Baragon. This is absolutely true. Baragon, for whatever reason, became hugely popular in Japan after his brief appearance in Frankenstein vs. Baragon, and has had cameos in numerous properties over the years. The fact that the Nido-family evolves into half-Ground types is a tribute to Baragon's burrowing ability.

I like the American Godzilla better. I wonder if there a pokemon that base off of the American version.
