C'mon! Golbat is by far the most annoying Pokemon findable in Victory Road! I mean, look at this true battle scenario from my Ruby Version!

Wild GOLBAT appeared! (lv. 40)
Go! NOSEPASS! (lv. 45)
Can't escape!
Wild GOLBAT used MEAN LOOK!
NOSEPASS used ROCK SLIDE!
*Golbat's HP is still above half*
GOLBAT used CONFUSE RAY!
NOSEPASS is confused!
It hurt itself in the confusion!

Now, tell me this hasn't happened to you! Golbat appears, yur higher-level Pokemon can't run, Golbat then uses Mean Look, so you DEFINITELY can't run, then uses Confuse Ray! Now, you guys tell me with a straight face that this hasn't happened to you at least ONCE as you went through Victory Road, barring Smoke Balls, the RUn Away ability, Whirlwind, Roar, Teleport, Repel, Super Repel, Max Repel, Black Flute, the stench ability, or anything else that would prevent the appearance of Golbats or allow battles with them to end. It's a shame. Golbat's so cool looking, yet they're also so goddamn annoying.....

Yes Golbat is VERY annoying. It wouldn't let my Steelix escape when it was level 54!

Victory Road isn't meant to be a walk in the park for the trainer trying to get to the pokemon league. Yes it's annoying but it offers a somewhat decent challenge; plus you already mentioned alternatives on how to avoid Golbats so just use them. :-/

Cipher

Nothing to be done
I deem Hoenn Victory Road the hardest dungeon in all Pokemon. First there's the damn Golbats every where. Second, it's very confusing. Third, and perhaps worst of all, after your Pokemon are all worn out from Golbats and trainers, and you're almost at the end, Wally shows up. I've never lost to him here in all my games, but that's because I knew he was coming. I can imagine it being quite a crushing blow to anyone who didn't heal their team in preparation.

On a side note, there's NOTHING more satisfying than going through Victory Road with your own Crobat and laying waste to the Golbats with their own tactics.

...YES! They are annoying. They are the only Pokemon who have no compassion for you and let you retreat for battle when you have one more Pokemon left, no Esacpe Rope, and he's poisoned! >.> Friggin, Golbat. And then my Pokemon hate me because of that damn thing! XO And they pop up every god damn place! >.<
Yeah, I'm in Victory Rd right now, how did you guess?

The only good Golbats in Victory Road are the shiny ones, and the ones that dont appear.

Also whats annoying is that parasects escape from hardly anything. Even at L94.

And who the heck uses nosepass anyway?

Golbat never has been any trouble for me. Why, holding the smoke ball is always a great option when running through Victory Road. Just run and you're guaranteed an escape.

You're quite the Einstein. When did Nosepass have that ability?

Hey, it can't be too annoying. Caught a shiny one in Emerald that I would've fainted since I wasn't paying attention to my game. ;x

But yeah, they can be a nuisance. I hate it when it doesn't let you escape. Although yanno, there's this little nifty item called Repel. >_>;
It repels everything else with Golbat, but still. >O

Ookey...let's confront the REAL problem here.
You're training a Nosepass, which is hideously under-leveled, and you think you're ready for the Pokemon League? That's a shame on you =O

Anywhays, I would normally be right up there with everyone else and vote for "Hell, Yeah!", but I recently caught a Shiny Golbat [Kinoko] in Victory Road. So it's dulled my hatred down to "Not too much".

You calling Lv:45 hideously underleveled? Shame on you. I'm pretty sure Lv:35 is much, much worse, let alone Lv:30 (happened once, needed loads of Hyper Potions for the League). By the end they're about Lv:40-45, but still.

On topic, hell yes they are annoying. But the funny thing is I have never had one not let me run away with a dragon. Or Steel types, but they have a large advantage over Golbat. And my teams almost never have an Own Tempo or Run Away ability, and I can't remember where you get the Smoke Ball(I probably woudn't use it anyway). That makes it much worse, my friend used a Grumpig and he didn't have one problem with the buggers all the way through.

Aviano

I dropped my balls
Meh, I overtrain, ALOT, so i can either 1. Kill the damn thing or 2. run away
Confuse ray is annoying though, if you happen not to kill or escape once

Perhaps s/he is trying to have Nosepass reach Lv.50 before beating the E4 so it can compete in the frontier. Think about that before you go off. ;-P

Voted the last option. Because I can =P

But in reality, no. I can beat them easily, they're good training tools, and I have a Shiny Crobat that I adore. So no, I don't hate them at all.

Considering I make sure my entire team is at least on Lv. 55 [but are usually around Lv. 60] before they step foot in Victory Road, yes, it is hideously under-trained.
But hey, I severely over-train my Pokemon. I evolve my starter before I go into Petalburg for the first time =O

Once again, if he thinks he can acomplish *anything* with a Lv. 50 Nosepass in the League, it's not good.
And Frontier? Please. I sometimes have trouble with my Salamence in the Frontier so what can Nosepass do?

Allow me quote the Pokemon of the Week:

"Really, if you intend to use Nosepass then good luck to you. This Pokemon has the worst Attack (it's the same as Wurmple) and Sp. Attack to work with. Its Defenses, however are good, but this is useless since it has no attacks to work with its Defenses."

Super Wario 64

Giggity GOO!
In R/S,Trade with FR/LG for a Slowpoke/Slowbro/Slowking and a Ditto then, hatch for a Slowpoke with Own Tempo then, trade the old Slowpoke/Slowbro/Slowking back to FR/LG And level it up till it's a Slowbro or Trade it with King's Rock to get a Slowking then,Level it up to Lv. 37/Lv.48 and THEN you'll beat those Golbats.....
