God of Monsters
[seal]center[/seal]

Ages ago, in the world of Weyard, the omnipotent force of Alchemy provided all manner of culture and power to its people. In this age, the ability to use Alchemy and Psynergy was unfettered and accessible to the general populace, and civilization had reached great levels of development. Various clans of Adepts (Psynergy-wielding individuals) existed across Weyard, and the landmasses of Weyard itself were far more uniform: It generally resembled the shape of a giant crescent moon. The four Lighthouses were lit at this time, providing energy to both the world and the people. This power allowed the people of Weyard to accomplish incredible feats of architecture, art, and music. But in this distant past, during Weyard's Golden Age, Alchemy was also used for more malevolent purposes.

For war.

As the story goes, conquest and war eventually became objectives amongst those who desired power, riches, and dominion over all that lived, and global war fueled by the misuse of Alchemy for military purposes yielded potentially catastrophic results for Weyard; the world would have been torn apart if not for the efforts of a group of brave and wise men who took it upon themselves to seal Alchemy away by removing the Elemental Stars from the four Lighthouses, and confining the jewels in the innermost reaches of Mt. Aleph's Sol Sanctum. The world and the people were saved from themselves, but deprived of a massive resource, and Alchemy and the four Lighthouses would remain dormant for ages to come.

With the sealing of Alchemy, Weyard's landmasses gradually began to break up and decrease in size over the ages, though this would not be noticed by the general populace due to how gradual it was. However, over time the populace began to lose much more; Civilization thrives by building upon the knowledge of the past, and the disappearance of both Alchemy and seemingly Psynergy as well caused the various cultures of the world to lose knowledge and become more primitive over the ages.

However, the sealing of Alchemy had one more dire consequence; without the powers of Alchemy to feed and nurture Weyard, the world started to deteriorate. Gaia Falls, the enormous waterfalls at the edges of the world between Weyard and the infinite void, have slowly began growing inward as the world's edge crumbles and falls into the void

In the Northern Reaches of Weyard, far above the Arctic Circle, the settlement of Prox was in imminent danger of being lost to the void. The people of Prox learned that in order to save Weyard from crumbling away the four Elemental Lighthouses must be lit. A group of Prox's finest warriors were sent to Vale to inform the elders there of the danger Weyard was in, but their message fell on deaf ears. During this trip, the Proxians investigated Sol Sanctum, accidentally triggering the storm that caused the Mt. Aleph boulder to fall. The entire Proxian party was wiped out during the storm except for two, Saturos and Menardi. Three years later, the two attempted once again to infiltrate Sol Sanctum and retrieve the elemental stars needed to light the four lighthouses. While they were initially successful, they were soon met with resistance

The "Wise One ", the monolithic guardian of Mt.Aleph, tasked Isaac and Garet (two young Valeans) with stopping the lighting of the Lighthouses for fear that once Alchemy would be released, the past would repeat itself, and Weyard would be consumed by a world war once again. Isaac and Garet eventually were joined by Ivan (a Jupiter Adept) and Mia (a Mercury Adept), and the four continued their quest to stop Saturos and Menardi. While both the Mercury and Venus lighthouses were lit, the four Adepts were able to defeat Saturos and Menardi atop Venus Lighthouse, and the two Proxians fell to their deaths.

But their quest carried on through Felix and Jenna (both citizens of Vale), and Sheba (a Jupiter Adept). While the three were initially the Proxians' hostages, they had learned of Weyard's decline and imminent doom, and took up the quest to light the two remaining lighthouses. They were later joined by Piers, a Mercury Adept from Lemuria (the last remaining great civilization), and the four Adepts set out to save the world. They lit Jupiter Lighthouse, where they encountered Isaac and the others once again. After explaining the current situation of the world to them, Isaac and his party gladly joined up with them.

The team of eight Adepts continued their quest and traveled across Weyard to the north and to Prox, where the Mars Lighthouse was located. After overcoming the Wise One's "miracle", a dragon formed from Felix and Jenna's parents and Isaac's father, they lit the final lighthouse. The Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars lighthouses are lit, and their beacons merge their lights into one focal point in the airspace of Mt. Aleph, forming the Golden Sun. In turn, the Golden Sun shoots out a ray that pierces the mountain and activates the Stone of Sages within. With this, the world of Weyard and all its inhabitants are infused with the omnipotent force of Alchemy, and as a result the climate is re-stabilized and the world’s inner life force is renewed.

Alex stood at the peak of Mt. Aleph, in the center of the Golden Sun’s stream of Alchemy-based energy as it passed through his body. Once it ended, Alex was ecstatic with his newfound power and near-limitless life, and he was all too eager to test his power. He therefore attempted to summon a thunderstorm to attack Vale at the mountain’s foothills below, but the storm failed to manifest. The Wise One appeared and explained to Alex that he had not gained the entirety of the Golden Sun’s power, for the Wise One took precautions to counteract Alex’s would-be attempt at dominion. Alex might have possessed the majority of the Golden Sun’s power, but the rest had entered Isaac’s body, leaving Alex’s mastery of Alchemy incomplete. Gravely disheartened and enraged that Isaac and the Wise One have robbed him of his dream, Alex attacked the Wise One with the power he had, but the guardian paralyzed him to the ground. Then the mountain and the surrounding landscape suddenly mutated and collapsed, and the Wise One abandoned Alex, saying that he may not survive this reformation. Alex, unable to flee, disappeared into oblivion as Mt. Aleph sank into the ground.

Meanwhile, Isaac, Felix, and their friends evacuated the Mars Lighthouse, which exhumed excess Mars Psynergy. The energy caused the miraculous revival of their parents. Isaac and Felix immediately brought them back to Prox, where they were nursed to health by the Proxeans. With Alchemy returned and Prox saved from doom along with the rest of the world, the Adepts and their parents received heartfelt gratitude from the Proxeans even as the townsfolk feel remorse for the fates of their fallen heroes Saturos, Menardi, Karst, and Agatio. After saying goodbye, the Adepts sailed back to their hometown of Vale. However, upon reaching it, they beheld one last tragedy: The town of Vale had been erased alongside Mt. Aleph, and all of its inhabitants, including Garet’s family, were believed to be lost. But suddenly, all of the townspeople of Vale show up in perfectly sound shape, and they explain that the Wise One evacuated them out of Vale before the town was destroyed. A great bout of rejoicing ensued; everything turned out for the best.

Kraden was able to figure out that The Wise One, as an upper-tier being whose divine charge was to safeguard Alchemy’s seal, constructed a giant test of some sort through all this. The Wise One knew that Alchemy would be a destructive force if it was abused by humans like it was abused in the ancient past, so he subjected Isaac and all of his friends to the trauma at Mars Lighthouse to test their virtues to see if they carried the strength necessary of the role of guiding Weyard down the path of civilization and peace as opposed to the path of warfare and power struggles, and to that end Isaac and his companions had succeeded.

More than thirty years have passed since that fateful day when Alchemy was released upon the world, and drastic changes have been made. Civilization has taken a huge forward leap; buildings and structures have been erected on a scale not seen since Weyard's ancient past. Everyone who was exposed to the eruption of energy at the aerie of Mars Lighthouse has received dramatically increased lifespans, and thus as adults they appear noticeably younger than anyone else their age - even Kraden is alive and well, and is traveling the world despite being over a hundred years of age.

But not all is peaceful in this ever-changing world. Tensions run high in the Alchemy-imbued, politically unstable Weyard and with Alchemy readily available, disagreements can rapidly escalate to an all-out war. It seems that the fears of the Wise One may become a reality. After the Golden Sun event, much of Weyard underwent extreme changes. The Golden Sun has caused the continents to grow in size and expand, and the lands themselves have been changed. The explosive event that was the Golden Sun, however, had caused mass destruction and heralded a new age of unrest and military maneuvers, and the Warriors of Vale, the eight Adepts that set the Golden Sun event off, have been the subject of great controversy across Weyard. Some praise them for having saved the world, while others outright resent them and Adepts in general and blame them as having effectively "destroyed" the world by letting loose a force that is now out of control. During the following years, the world saw both catastrophes and miraculous happenings. Adepts as a race became known worldwide as a result of the actions of the Warriors of Vale. Meanwhile, rapid expansion resulted in small towns becoming major countries, led by kings or emperors. With the rise of these countries, war and political struggles became common, with major players including the countries of Sana, Bilibin, and Morgal. With the rise of the Morgalian Beastmen, and the world's reintroduction of the dragon-skinned Proxians, racism and warfare have risen up.

It was for this reason that Iodem, the new ruler of Tolbi (the largest and most prosperous city in Weyard) assembled what is known as the "League of Adepts". He has gathered Adepts from across Weyard and brought them together to help keep the peace in these potentially unstable times. Instructed by the eight Adepts that helped unseal Alchemy and other skilled wielders of Psynergy from throughout Weyard, and put through an intensive training program, these Adepts quickly become highly skilled in the use of Psynergy and Alchemy.

But things are about to take a turn for the worst. Unknown to Iodem or the League, four ancient Master-Adepts have awakened after millennia of hibernation. These Adepts are Anathema; people accursed and consigned to damnation or destruction. They have embraced strange, otherworldly forms of Psynergy. They are ancient beings of nearly godlike power who lived during Weyard's lost "Golden Age" and were sealed away with Alchemy. Now that the seal on Alchemy has been broken, they have awakened as well. But their imprisonment for all those years have left their powers at substantially diminished levels, and the lights of Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter block their powers from returning to their fullest.

So they have devised a plan. For some months they have been amassing their power; bringing the power-hungry into their folds to accomplish their goals; the corruption of the four lighthouses and the distortion and corruption of all Alchemy on Weyard. They hope to convert the lighthouses to project their otherworldly elements. Even Alchemy's guardian, the mighty Wise One, has little clue as to what they are doing. But he has realized that something is amiss, and has contacted the eight Adepts who unsealed Alchemy.

Knowing that this quest will encompass more fronts than eight Adepts can handle alone, they have turned to Iodem and the League of Adepts to help bolster their capabilities in solving this mystery and avoiding disaster.

You are one of these Adepts, trained and schooled by some of the brightest and most talented individuals in all of Weyard. You have been given skills beyond the scope of most men and women, and you have been given the knowledge to use those skills correctly for the greater good. Your quest as it is now is to uncover the plot of the four "Anathema" Master-Adepts and prevent that plan from coming to fruition. You are aided by some of the finest minds Weyard has to offer; the scholar Kraden is an especially important asset to the League and his knowledge on Alchemy has few equals. As a member of the League of Adepts, you must follow a certain code:
1. The use of League status and Psynergy for selfish or greedy means is strictly prohibited. The breaking of this rule may result in expulsion from the League of Adepts.

2. Voilence is used only as a last resort to solve conflicts, when all other options have failed. It is always the goal of the League to inspire trust from the common people, therefore violence against other people is discouraged unless all other options have been deemed failures.

3. Against truly malevolent and destructive beings, violence is often times necessary. As such beings often wish great harm onto others, all steps must be taken to insure that such harm befalls as few as possible.

4. The use of excessive or lethal force is highly discouraged. However, in instances where a force cannot be simply disarmed or defeated, when the wellbeing of the general public is at stake, drastic measures must be taken, and lethal force is authorized.

5. The laws of local towns take priority. The League of Adepts is not to become involved matters of local law so long as these matters do not pertain to the misuse of Alchemy. The League of Adepts have jurisdiction over such matters involving Alchemy.

6. A member of the League of Adepts will protect the innocent at all costs. The League of Adepts is an organization for the people. The League protects not the powerful or the rich, but the just and the true. Therefore, whether one is rich or poor; Proxian or Lemurian, so long as they are innocent and good, the League of Adepts will protect them and punish those who would harm them.

Alchemy: Alchemy is a power that draws from the Elements. Adepts use the power of Alchemy to channel Psynergy, and scholars, such as Kraden, study the effects of Alchemy on the world of Weyard. According to Kraden and King Hydros of Lemuria, Alchemy was sealed away by wise, brave men to prevent mankind from destroying itself. Gaia Falls slowly consumes Weyard as Alchemy is sealed, for Alchemy is the life force of the Golden Sun world, and without it, the world withers away.

Alchemy was once common place in Weyard, giving birth to great civilization, and all that is around the Golden Sun world. Alchemy is composed of the four elements, Fire and Earth, Wind and Water.

Alchemy in the Golden Sun series is heavily based off the actual study of Alchemy in real life, and many plot elements are based on legends of Alchemy, such as the Lemurian draught, which is the in-game equivalent of the elixer of life.

Psynergy: Psynergy is the ability to conjure sorcerous effects based on the elements and fueled by the spiritual power of the person's mind; a similar but different art exists in the form of Chi, which is the concept of harnessing the energy of one's body to achieve more physical effects. Psynergy is aligned to the four different Elements: Venus (earth and plants), Mars (fire and heat), Jupiter (wind and lightning), and Mercury (water and ice).

Psynergy that is not aligned with the elements, meaning it is not used for attack or planned defense, is more or less like the classic description of telekinesis or psychic power. Adepts can use this power to move, levitate, and carry objects such as statues and boulders. However, certain elemental powers of Psynergy are used for both attack and usage outside of battle. These powers grow as time goes on.

Adept Animal Partners: Since the unsealing of Alchemy, normal animals have begun to show adeptness with Psynergy as well. Many Adepts form strong bonds with an animal of similar Psynergetic alignment and personality. These animals are capable of utilizing Psynergy to a somewhat limited degree, can bolster an Adept's power (similar to the Djinn of the games), and can even alter the Psynergy an Adept can use.

Monster Guy

Fairy type Trainer
Name: Timothy "Tim" Wolfe
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Alignment: Mercury Adept
Fighting Style: Mage
Weapon Style: Staff. He can use bows, and light blades, but he generally prefers to stick to staffs.
Home Town: Imil
Physical Description:

Tim is somewhat short for a young man his age, standing at exactly 5'4". Despite seeming weak and fragile, he is actually stronger than he looks. He has an athletic build and is physically fit due to having lived in a small town all of his life, and spending a lot of time running around outside. He spends a good amount of time in the sun so his skin is lightly tanned as a result, not pale but not bronzed either. He has messy blue hair on top of his head, and his bangs go to his eyebrows. He has big blue eyes, a small nose, and a round "Babyface", which give him a youthful appearance. His face is clean-shaven, and his upper body is free of any hair except the top of his head and eyebrows.

Tim's clothes tend to vary, but he usually wears what is comfortable. As a member of the League of Adepts, he has taken to wearing robes to signify that he is a mage. His usual outfit is a short sleeved, collared white robe. The trim on the bottom, and sleeves of the robe are light blue. It is held in place by a light blue belt at the waist. Underneath this, he wears a simple white undershirt. On his legs he wears white leggings that keep them warm in the cold, but are still comfortable to wear when the temperature is warmer. On his feet are a pair of knee-high white boots with one blue belt wrapped around each of them. A pair of white gloves with blue trims cover his arms up to his elbows. He keeps things like medicines and food for Alice in a light blue messenger bag.

Personality Profile: Tim is a shy and quiet individual by nature. He was always this way, and being bullied as a kid didn't help. He is very sensitive, and he fears being bullied. He usually speaks with a quiet voice, and occasionally a stutter when he's nervous. He also becomes very apologetic when someone shows any hint of being upset. He has a thing for animals, and he usually prefers being with animals than with people. Animals will listen without judgement, and only expect a little kindness in return. He is gentle and softspoken, which seems to be the reason why he has such an easy time with animals. He gets scared easily, his worst phobia being stage fright. He gets really nervous when having to speak or perform in front of an audience. He really wants to be the brave, but it's harder than it looks.

Despite being shy, he is by no means antisocial. If you talk to him, you'll find he's quite friendly, and polite. He can laugh and make jokes like any other kid. He is always happy to have to new friends, because his shyness makes it difficult to make them. He is very affectionate and loyal to those he likes. He hates it when people are angry around him, so he tries his best to keep the peace. In conversations, he is usually more of a listener than a talker, and he has no problems being a sounding board when someone wants to vent (As long as they don't hurt him.) Tim is very kind to others, often to a fault. He is very trusting of people, and is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Tim is usually very difficult to anger, and is very quick to forgive someone when he does get mad. However, during the times when he is not in a good mood, he can be quite scary if you do catch him at a bad moment. He doesn't want to burden others with his problems, and he fears being made fun of, so he keeps them to himself. This causes him personal frustration. When it gets to be too much, he'll lash out at the target, and let out his pent up rage. He dislikes bullying (towards himself or others,) as well as people being needlessly cruel to animals. Doing one of those things is the best way to get him upset.

Tim is very careful and calculating. He always thinks before he speaks, and prefers not to wrecklessly jump into danger. However, due to his insecurity he is often uncertain if the choices he makes are the right ones. He can easily be convinced to change his mind. This leaves him with some anger when the plan fails and he knew his original idea would have worked. He also doesn't like violence all that much, having been a victim of it most of his life. Although he doesn't look like it, Tim has a big appetite. He likes eating many different kinds of foods, and has the cooking skills to match.

Brief Personal Background: Tim was born in the snowy village of Imil. He was born with blue hair despite neither of his parents having this hair color. Everyone knew this meant Tim would be a Mercury adept. Tim's parents weren't rich, but they did all they could to give their son a good life, and give him every advantage. While they expressed having high hopes for their son's success, they tried not to put too much pressure on the boy. For the most part, his life was normal. Tim was often a target of bullying because of his shyness, tendency to get scared easily, and because he was clumsy. No matter what he did to get them to stop it, it always failed or they found something else to give him crap about. It gave him self-esteem issues, resulting in him becoming even more timid. As a result, he had very few friends growing up. He didn't tell anyone about the bullying, lest it become worse. He saw other kids get beaten up much worse after they snitched, and he didn't want that to happen. So he kept it all inside and let his resentment build.

From an early age, he always had a special talent for caring for animals. They seem to be fond of him due to his softspoken nature. He often finds sick, or injured animals and cares for, plays with, and feeds them when no one else will. Around animals, Tim felt much more like himself. He found relief from the stresses of life, and he's found they are the best friends he could ask for. He always knew he wanted to do something with animals when he gets older. He just wasn't sure what.

At the age of ten, Tim manifested his first Psynergy. When a stream of cold water that seemed to come from nowhere blasted a bully in the face after he stuck his foot out and caused Tim to trip, then teased him about his clumsiness. Tim giggled at that, which caused the bully to think Tim was to blame, and so he punched the boy in the face, resulting in a black eye. While his parents were concerned about his injury, they were thrilled at the confirmation that their son was indeed a Mercury adept.

Nothing spectacular happened after that until Tim turned thirteen. It was then that his parents felt he was ready to learn alchemy, and master his Pynergy. He was taught by the Mercury scholars in the area. He spent many years studying, and practicing his techniques. He realized quickly that he preferred being a mage and using alchemy to help others rather than fighting the way a warrior does. Tim did well with his studies and showed great potential. He had taken a liking to the healing spells, and became good at casting them. However, although the bullying had stopped, he didn't really talk to any of the other students because of his experiences when he was younger. A few months after his eighteenth birthday, Tim completed his training and was invited to join the League of Adepts. He wasn't expecting to be invited to join such a prestigious group, but humbly accepted because he agreed with their ideals, and because it would make his parents proud.

Weapon(s) + Description: Snow Staff. A staff he received as a gift from his father after he finished his studies. The staff has a long blue handle. The tip of the staff is shaped like a ice blue snowflake, and has a dark blue gemstone in the center.

Other Abilities/Skills: Tim has skill at understanding animals. He can understand how they feel and what they're thinking, giving him an easy time calming them down without having to resort to violence. As well as caring for them in general.

Animal Adept Partner: Alice is a small, grey wolf puppy with brown eyes. She is alligned to the Venus element. Tim found this injured puppy had been seperated from her pack. When she first saw Tim, she was wary, and hid in a nearby bush. Using a little patience, and by bribing her with food, he eventually managed to bring her out of hiding. He took her home with him, and nursed her back to health. The two bonded quickly, and when he tried to return her to the wild, she always found her way back to him. Eventually, Tim gave up trying to return her to the wild, and kept her as a companion. While she is extremely affectionate and loyal to Tim, Alice shares her owner's timid nature. She often cowers behind him when in the presence of strangers. However, she is friendly around those she trusts. When linked with Tim, he becomes the White Mage/Pure Mage class.

Night Triumphant
Wait, if yours is a puppy, Daciana's will be the big guy now, hehe. XD WIP, so nobody takes her archetype while my back's turned. XD

Name: Daciana Lupei

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Alignment: Mars

Fighting Style: Warrior

Weapon Style: Swords, Gauntlets, Light Blades

Home Town: Morgal

Physical Description: (normal) (desert)

Daciana is a tall beauty, pale-skinned and lean-muscled, standing at 6'1" in height. Her hair is long, thick and scarlet (her father has the same color), reaching past her hips in length, with long, messy side-bangs. Not being one to care about and take time fixing her hair elaborately or neatly, she usually ties it in either a long, messy, loose ponytail with a black ribbon or a single loose braid secured with the same ribbon. Her eyes are an icy blue (her mom's color) and are often rimmed with black eyeliner. Daciana's face is slightly angular, with narrow cheeks, a pointed nose with a piercing on the right nostril and arched eyebrows that are on the thin side. Her body is slim, yet lean-muscled and strong, with long legs and breasts that are very large and prominent. Around her right bicep is a black armband tattoo that resembles twisted, thorny branches and on the small of her back, not exactly at the middle but oriented slightly to the left, is a tattoo shaped like a wolf's head. Decorating her right nostril is a small, silver hoop and three pairs of black cross earrings adorn her six ear piercings, three on each ear.

Daciana dresses in light clothes that allow her a lot of movement, and influenced heavily by her time as a bandit. She favors the color black, and dislikes the idea of heavy robes that could impede her or get in her way. Her outfit consists of a low-cut assymetrical black top that exposes her prominent cleavage and fastens closed with two buckles. This top also has a popped-up collar, holes that expose her shoulders and long sleeves decorated with black belts and buckles. Under this, she wears black leather mini shorts with a silver chain belt. Her heavy boots are black and knee-high, with steel toes and three belts wrapped around them. They don't have high heels, as she feels that heels are weird, impractical and wouldn't allow her to fight well. Black gloves cover her hands, and she wears a one-shouldered bandit's cloak, in a blood-red color, tattered at the edges. As she is accustomed to the cold in Morgal, she has difficulty adjusting to much hotter desert climates and chooses to wear even lighter clothing under such conditions, consisting of a black cropped low-cut top with silver spikes and chain straps, as well as lighter, black leather lace-up boots.

Personality Profile: Daciana is one person who doesn't let others take control of her life. She does things the way she wants to, whether some may have reservations about them or others flat-out don't like her approach. Thus, it can be seen that she is an impulsive, brash and brave young woman who takes things head on and hardly thinks of the consequences of her actions. She does know how to use her head, but is not exactly rational. For her, one's life is in his or her own hands, not for others to take control of. She's is crude, straightforward and a tomboy, hardly even feminine, being one who drinks heavily, swears a lot and flirts openly - not only to guys, but towards both genders (she's bi), though she finds it very hard to admit if she really, really likes someone. Daciana is very adventurous and courageous, enjoying the outdoors and more physical activities, and is one who takes things head-on without second thoughts, and jumping into action instead of hesitating. She also has the tendency to get herself caught up into bets and dares, being one who never backs down from something she's confident in, whether involving racing, hang-gliding, knocking beer pyramids, drinking games or the numerous card games she knows. She is however, an arrogant winner and a sore loser, boasting whenever she wins and going as far as physically hurting those she loses against, being one who wants to make the last move, though she never calls off bets. She's not a weak fighter either, having a particularly strong punch that has caused a number of black eyes. Daciana also has issues with authorities, being such a casual person, disliking it when there are too many rules, weird conventions or strict higher-ups. She has no problems disobeying anything she deems unreasonable or stupid, preferring to rely on her own gut feeling, practical knowledge or opinions instead. Often, this is the reason why many wonder if she was even raised right, as she is very much prone to finding trouble because of her own nerve.

Daciana isn't the best or most moral person and she isn't even the most knowledgeable and talented person. She however makes up for it with her passion. Daciana is a person who pours everything into what she loves and what she believes in, not being one to just give up on herself or allow anyone to break her. She won't bend over or let anyone have the final say over her. If she makes mistakes, she feels that is is her own business to improve on herself, and will do so the best she could to fix her errors, just as long as she isn't told what to do or forced to do anything she doesn't want to. If she has to face any consequences, she never does it with fear. She isn't a coward and a pussy after all. If she can understand where she went wrong, she will improve, but if she finds it unreasonable, she will stand up for herself. It is very rare for her to take someone's advice and actually execute it, not wanting to be feel like she is being controlled, but if someone does show her that they genuinely want to help her, not control her, and she trusts them enough, then she is less likely to be as difficult. Yes, it is evident that this young woman has trust issues with perceived authorities and "leaders", especially when she feels as if she might be forced to do something she does not want to. She likes to be her own person, and the last thing she wants to become is a puppet and a tool to someone.

Daciana, with her rudeness, crude language and looks, may seem like bad company at first glance, but she is actually pretty friendly, as long as you don't judge her too quickly or try to be imposing and strict around her. Her more open and less high-strung personality makes her warm to those she first meets, unless of course she feels manipulated or they get on her bad side. She's loud and likes company, and is in fact fiercely loyal to those whom she considers close to her, not being the type to let them down. She's not one to judge race either, as she grew up seeing people very different from herself and having such types of people as friends. Towards those she dislikes however, she is more openly hostile and wouldn't hesitate to bring them down or embarrass them in any way. She never forgets if someone earns her hatred and ire, and she could be very unforgiving, holding her grudges for long and taking a lot of time for her to let go. One could see however, that she could also be compassionate and protective of her friends, looking out for them in her own way. However, she will of course, poke fun at any male whom she happens to help.

Daciana is rather deficient in domestic skills, not exactly knowing how to sew or bake and not having a knack for cleanliness or order, being very disorganized. She is pretty good at cooking, though she wouldn't admit this as she doesn't want to be forced and controlled to do so. She also strangely enjoys reading the Tarot.

Brief Personal Background: Daciana was born in Morgal and was an only child to two Adept parents. Stefan Lupei, a Mars Adept and an adventurer, was an open-minded and easygoing man who encouraged the girl to do things she enjoyed. Her mother however, was different. She was a Mercury Adept who came from old money and was extremely superstitious, traditional as well as difficult to be with. Tatiana Lupei named Daciana such because the name had seven letters and wished that her child was going to turn out to be a Mercury adept like herself. She was suspicious of the Beastmen, even though she lived in the area all her life. Stefan on the other hand, wasn't as particular, knowing he would be proud if his daughter turned out to be any type of adept, and encouraged her to do what she wanted. As Daciana was born with the red hair of Stefan and the blue eyes of Tatiana, neither of them had any way of knowing what kind of Adept she would turn out to be. However, as Daciana grew up, it became clear that she took after her father in terms of her interests, being an adventurous, daring and outdoorsy young girl who enjoyed rough play with her friends, rather than more reserved activities, and was a lot closer to her father as well, deeming him a lot more fun to be with. Neither was she picky about who her friends were, some were Beastmen, some were humans like herself, and still some were immigrant Proxians, as she enjoyed being with people in general. This scared her mother, who had the bad feeling that Daciana was going to turn out Mars rather than Mercury, from the way things were going, and would probably head down the wrong path and get herself into a lot of trouble. Still she hoped that perhaps, it was just a personality thing, and her daughter would make a fine Angel, just like herself.

As she grew up, Daciana enjoyed traveling with her father, much to her mother's disdain. Because of this, she was able to see much of Angara and Gondowan and meet different people. At the age of nine, during one of her father's travels in Lalivero, Daciana casted her first Psynergy, which happened to be Flare, signifying that she was indeed a Mars Adept. This disappointed her mother greatly, leading her to try to find out if perhaps, the Flare was just a fluke, and that perhaps, the girl had borrowed one of her father's animal partners, which could have caused it. Tatiana tried to teach her daughter the healing and ice powers of Mercury as the girl grew into a young teenager. They never stuck however. What came out of Daciana was heat and fire, just like what came out of her father, and not even the healing type heat and fire. Stefan on the other hand, taught Daciana what he knew along with his companions, some of them Mars Adepts like he was, one of them even being a Beastman, who helped Daciana hone her natural strength as a warrior, and trained her to use gauntlets. Daciana grew strong and powerful, becoming a capable Adept in the process. However, her happiness ended when her father and his friends were ambushed and killed during one of their expeditions, an expedition where she just happened to be absent at the wrong time. Tatiana then became her sole guardian and despite Stefan's advice for her to let Daciana grow into her own person, Tatiana wasn't going to be ruffled. She remained planted in her mindset and raised fifteen-year-old Daciana in a way that made the teenager feel smothered and resentful. Daciana longed to be the person she always was, but her mother was making it difficult for her by "trying to force out the 'Mercury in her'". Thus, in order to be the way she wanted, she deliberately skipped her lessons with the new Mercury scholars, started sneaking out at night and did many things that she wanted and she knew would give her mother problems. For two years, she endured this until she finally had enough and ran away from home, deciding to settle down in one of the seedier parts of Tolbi, where she worked at an inn pub for a year, until it was sacked by hooligans and closed down. This left Daciana jobless and prompted her to fall in with a local group of bandits in order to get by. For another year, she joined them in their various activities, her strength and stubbornness, enhanced through practice and training, making her a natural thug. Quite a few of them were adepts, which gave her the opportunity to once again practice her natural Mars affinity and progress even further and learning stronger skills she would not have known if she stayed in Morgal. She loved the feeling of freedom it gave her, she was the person she wanted to be and did not have to worry about certain things. However, their escapades came to an end when they were caught assaulting a group of seemingly lucky bastards in Tolbi's casino. All seven of them were arrested and imprisoned in Tolbi's jail.

Back in Morgal, Tatiana missed her daughter terribly. She only wanted to take care of her daughter the best she could, but she only ended up alienating her because of her own mindset. Over the two years that Daciana was gone, Tatiana, little by little, started to see something that she didn't before...who cared whether Daciana was going to continue the line of Mercury Adepts or not? There were many Mercury Adepts, but only one of Daciana. Gradually, Tatiana changed her mindset and began to open up her mind more, reaching out instead of shutting others out, and learning to see that life wasn't just about legacies and the old ways. However, it was not as if that fact would bring back her daughter...until she heard of Daciana's arrest. She blamed herself, knowing that it might not have come to that point had she let Daciana be herself. Resolving to start a new life with her, Tatiana went over to Tolbi and bailed her daughter out. Daciana was at first suspicious and angry, claiming that she needed no help and did not want to go back. Her mother was persistent however, admitting that she was wrong and that if her daughter was alive after perhaps facing too many negative things, then that said something about her strength as a Mars Adept. Daciana relented, on the condition that Tatiana really keep her word, and the latter did so, encouraging the former to continue developing her fighting skills and Mars Psynergy without fear. Daciana then completed her training for Mars Psynergy, as well as fighting under the Mars scholars and trainers her mother found, doing very well and making more friends along the way. Once she completed her studies, an invitation came for her to join the league of adepts. Excited at this new prospect, she accepted it, eager for a new, exciting chapter in her life.

Weapon(s) + Description: Bloodstone Edge - A long, black-and-silver sword with three blood-red stones on the upper part of its vaguely lightning bolt-shaped blade. Its handle is black with three, protruding silver spikes.

Other Abilities/Skills: Aside from her particularly painful punch, Daciana (despite being a Mars Adept) is wicked at hang-gliding, having been trained by her father as a youth. Growing up traveling in expeditions with her father, as well as spending a year with bandits also taught her many different forms of outdoor survival skills. As mentioned, she is a lot stronger than the average Mars adept due to combat training.

Animal Adept Partner: Lucian is a large, adult, coal-black wolf with stormy silver eyes that look as if whirlwinds blow within them. He is aligned with the Jupiter element. Daciana took him in as a young adolescent when she found him in the forests outside of Tolbi, a bullied omega within his own pack. Seeing that he was starved and uncared for, she came for him when the rest of the pack was asleep and took care of him. While at first, Lucian was aggressive and nervous in his new environment, Daciana's care eventually won him over and made him decide to stay by her side. Lucian is aggressive and threatening towards strangers, yet becomes friendly and playful when he gets accustomed to them (which usually only takes a short time). Owing to his experience as an Omega, he developed a big brother instinct towards smaller animals, but becomes fiercer and even more violent towards those he perceives as bossy types, animal or human. Lucian has a strong dislike towards cats and would be markedly more aggressive around them. When linked with Daciana, her class becomes that of a Ninja/Disciple/Master.

I <3 Catgirls
Okay, I hope Jean doesn't hate me, but this is going to come out a bit similar at the start of the WIP. And since people seem to love tektek, I'll make one too.

Name: Cathy "Cat-chan" Katherine
Age: 21 and a half
Gender: Female (Cat Beastman)
Alignment: Mars Adept
Fighting Style: Mage
Weapon Style: Prefers staff, but can also use claws/gauntlets, and light blades)
Home Town: Belinsk in Morgal
Physical Description:
bwhy.png
(standard clothing)
ywzp.png
(colder climate)
She's 6'1" counting the 3" heels, slightly shorter without. She has blazing red eyes, blue hair, and average Caucasian skin.

She has a small nose, high cheekbones, and pretty lips that you just want to kiss and never stop kissing. Her blue hair is long down to her hips, a little puffy due to hairstyle, and has wispy bangs that hang low enough to barely cover her eyebrows. The bangs and hair wave when she walks. She doesn't have ears like humans, and hers are on top of her head like pointed triangles. In the back they have blue fur like her hair, and in the front they're the same color as her skin. She is very top heavy with a chest somewhere between a 38 DD and DDD. Her chest moves or jiggles at pretty much any movement. She has a sort of thin waist and wide hips. She has the average amount of muscle on her body, and just seems to not need to do much to stay in shape. She's basically very lean and curvy in all the right places.

Around her neck she wars a black necklace choker with a silver locket that has a painting of her father, so she can keep him close at all times. She wears a bikini top and tiny bottom as regular clothes, having gotten used to wearing this from when she used to go to work and didn't have time to change from school. Of course the bikini bottom covers her behind, although not by much. The bikini top is metallic silver colored, while the bottom is a dark red fabric. She likes to wear black high gloves that go up to nearly her shoulders. The gloves have metallic gold plated claws on the fingers, which complement her real claws. The claw gloves aren't a weapon, more like an accessory. The fake claws can be removed if she wants to. She also wears black high boots with metallic gold plating around the soles.

When in a place where it would be too cold to wear her dancer outfit, she squeezes into a warm black skintight one piece suit that keeps her warm while still being able to expose her cleavage if she wants to. The zipper is on the front. The long gloves are switched for an insulated pair of long black gloves. She changes the high boots to a similar pair of insulated black boots. The cold weather gloves and boots look pretty similar to the warm weather versions.

She has a long fluffy tail with blue fur (Ignore the color and extreme length of the tail in tektek) coming out through a hole in whatever she wears on her lower body at the time, down to about her ankles. She can move it like a limb to wrap around things if needed. It also helps with balance.

Cathy is right handed.
Personality Profile: Cathy is a sociable young woman, friendly and nice to others and is generally trying to find clever ways to enjoy life. While she can be easygoing, she can also become angry and violent when insulted or discriminated for being a Beastman. She's social when around others, but also has a reclusive side, at times enjoying the company of animals more than people, and prefers doing things like reading or talking to people indoors if at all possible. She has no problem with traveling around, though. Cathy isn't very feminine and doesn't act like most girls because she never had time to learn traditional female mannerisms and was always either at work or studying hard. Hence, she acts more liberated than most. She's bisexual, leaning towards women, and can be flirty around others, especially those she likes. She is also one who will burp in public if she feels like it, as well as pass gas in public if she feels like it. She can eat with her hands, but only stuff like sandwiches or things that are usually eaten without utensils. She won't go out of her way to use a fork when a piece of food can be picked up and eaten without any splatters or grease hands. She can also be a slob, but in general the messes she makes are not the kinds of messes that annoy people and she does know how to clean up after herself. Cathy enjoys helping others, and is proportionately upset when finding out somebody else was upset by her actions. Key word: Finding out. This means that if you're hiding your feelings, don't expect any sympathy. She's not a great judge of character, but can be encouraging and positive.

Her thought process is methodical and careful, but when short on time she is prone to coming up with multiple solutions at once and just going by trial and error on which works. Much cleverer than she looks, she thinks before she acts, and doesn't make a move on impulse or pure defiance. She's not oblivious either, knowing how to "read the atmosphere" of most situations, whether tense, dangerous or anything else. She is also very resourceful, knowing how to use things to her advantage both inside and outside of battle, be it her good looks, her natural agility and dexterity or her cunning. Yes, this beauty isn't above using her looks and knows how to tease and allure her foes before going in for the kill, especially when in tight situations. Naturally dexterous, when cornered or confronted, she uses evasive techniques and an almost acrobatic style in order to for her to gain the upper hand, before resuming her usual style of heavy casting.

Cathy has very strong opinions and generally regards them as facts, so she tends to have a comment on anything she overhears and feels compelled to comment on. She feels that going outside just for the sake of going outside is boring and a waste of her life, so if she goes outside it's for a good reason and she needs to have something to do besides stare at a wall or admire the scenery. If you ask her to go outside, expect to give her a reason to do so.

She enjoys fighting, but doesn't make a point of starting fights for her own enjoyment, though she knows how to defend herself, and doesn't hesitate to do so. Cathy also dislikes stupidity and recklessness. Of course what constitutes 'stupid' is open to interpretation, but doing obviously stupid things will make her dislike you. There's a difference between being funny and just acting stupid. She also doesn't like those in authority roles, and generally doesn't like being given orders or commands. No matter how sound the order is, if it's an order, expect her to refuse to follow it in a roundabout manner, unless she sees no other way. She wouldn't resort to public, violent defiance, but she is the type to look for loopholes in orders and rules, using her cunning to take advantage of them. Not that she's likely to be caught, as she is also careful enough to cover her tracks. She is prone to unrehearsed sarcasm. (Read: My posts can have sarcasm in them without me knowing or intending it) She is also prone to complaining or otherwise looking for somebody to vent/rant to on topics of interest or whatever is being discussed at the moment.

Not sure if this is a personality trait, but she has Aspergers Syndrome and ADHD (Like me). This will be RPed out as well as possible, and if you write your emotions out as very visible it shouldn't be a problem. The ADHD just means she gets bored easily and can't pay attention for very long. The only exception is things she actually enjoys, in which case she can do them for many hours on end. She does get bored of everything eventually, though.
Brief Personal Background: Cathy's mom and dad weren't always Beastmen. Originally, Lina and Terry were refugees from Vale who settled in the small town of Vault. Over time they were transformed by the Golden Sun into cat Beastmen. Lina originally wasn't an Adept and Terry had brought her with him to Vale when they got married, but she gained Jupiter affinity from the Golden Sun event. So between the two they had no idea who's Psyenergy Cathy would inherit.

Being in an area with bandits, it was no surprise that Vault got attacked by them from time to time. Generally they would be fought off and the residents would lose only minor things, but one night a group of bandits got quite bold. They started stealing actual expensive items again since the time when those three got jailed. Terry wouldn't have it, and decided to show the bandits that you don't go stealing from a town where Adepts live. He scared them off with his fire and made them drop all their loot in the process, but he didn't just want to make them go away this time. He wanted to make sure that they never bothered Vault again. Lina was still pregnant with her child at the time, and couldn't bother to stop him. He chased the bandits into the nearby woodland, then into the mountains. Neither Terry nor the bandits were heard from again after that night. Lina speculated that he killed them but sustained mortal wounds in the process, so he most likely died on the way back. But nobody could be sure of that. She thought that he had a reason for not coming back and could one day be found. But work was drying up in Vault, and tensions with the neighbors were rising about her not being human anymore. She wanted to have her kid in a place where they could have a normal life. She decided to leave the town and change her last name. It was also a good way to escape persecution, since asking about where Lina Gadin lived would be pointless. When she heard about Belinsk being a haven for Beastmen, she eventually found a way to get there and finally gave birth the day after she found a place to live. Cathy was born with blue hair and red eyes, and Lina was confused as to why that was. There were no Mercury adepts in Terry's past, and she was only an Adept because of the Golden Sun event. Being Jupiter she was closer to her own Beastform, but she never got any formal training or used her gift much.

Her mother still had no idea if she was an Adept or not by the time she was approaching ten years old, but Cathy had managed to light a candle from her finger in public. People saw her a bit differently from then on. It was around this time that an organization approached Lina, offering to train her daughter in the use of her Psyenergy. She started on the physical part of the training, but still couldn't manage anything besides lighting a candle. It was obvious that she was a late bloomer and that it would take a traumatic event for her to fully realize her power.

Eventually Cathy was a teenager. They needed money and bills were mounting. They didn't own their house anymore and were paying rent. Lina's job as a home attendant was barely covering food costs and rent. Fortunately a new club opened in town around this time: Cat Napé Lounge. It was a bar for those who liked cat type Beastman girls, of which both Cathy and Lina were. Lina was over 40 by this time, and was too old to get a job there. Fortunately Cathy wasn't too old, and had inherited her mother's good looks. She tried out and was able to secure a job there, receiving formal exotic dance training as part of the job. Cathy worked after school, both as a dancer and as a barkeep. Though the club offered substantial bonuses to prostitutes and strippers, Cathy refused to engage in such things. Sure she sometimes danced in minimal clothes that left nothing to the imagination, but she never danced naked. Not that she was a prude, but she had her limits to how far she would go to earn money. She also never really learned how to act ladylike. She was either at work, doing schoolwork, or at training with the League. She made no female friends, and the friends she had made were all male. Mostly customers. Money was still tight, and her mother couldn't afford to buy her more than a couple sets of clothes, so Cathy had to make a choice of what to wear. Naturally, she just chose to wear the same stuff she wore to work and got used to it.

Eventually Cathy met a customer who just wouldn't leave her alone. He was a total creep and every day would offer more and more money to see her naked. Either privately or as part of a show at the club. This was a well known thing around the bar patrons and the employees, but nobody ever really paid it any mind cause it didn't cause any overall harm. One day he decided he'd had enough, and decided to force Cathy to be his. Violently. A fight broke out at the club as a result of him chasing her around and knocking stuff over, and eventually he did manage to corner Cathy and had his 2 muscle builder friends hold her tight. He started to reach out to strip her already scantily clad body, ignoring the protests, but it was at this point that Cathy yelled that they'd burn in hell for this. And her wish was granted. Her blue colored Mars Psyenergy fully manifested, and she used Flare on the three men, burning them to ashes. Unfortunately this also had the added effect of setting the Cat Napé Lounge on fire, and it mostly burned down before it could be doused. Except for the dead lepers who had already been killed, everybody made it out without any major consequences. While escaping Cathy found a cat amidst the fire. The cat was enjoying playing in the fire and wasn't burned by it, but was in danger of being crushed by falling pieces of the building. Cathy saved the cat and the two became fast friends afterward.

Though nobody blamed Cathy for setting the club on fire in self defense to stop from being raped, it unfortunately would take too long to rebuild. Cathy and her mom would be out on the street by then. Fortunately the League of Adepts was there to help them financially. The League promised financial security for Cathy and her mom in exchange, and Cathy was more than happy to finish her training and accepting the job would mean that they wouldn't go hungry and homeless.
Weapon(s) + Description: Flame Gem Staff. This was a gift from her mother, said to have been her father's heirloom. It's a standard staff with different sized red colored gems toward the end of it. It also has some white gems. The gems tend to swirl around a little, as if imbued with Psyenergy themselves. This is just decoration though.
Other Abilities/Skills:
Beastform - As a member of the Beastman species, Cathy can transform into a large cat with red fur. This changes her from a caster to a melee oriented fighter. With Beastform being a Jupiter based ability, her Psyenergy changes to a mix of Mars and Jupiter, but still mostly Mars. She doesn't like to use this because she prefers casting to fighting up close, but it has it's uses sometimes.
Talking to Animals - Another ability drawn from her species, Cathy understands most animals and can communicate with them. She may sometimes mistranslate, though.
Slap - Slap only occurs naturally among Beastmen Adepts. This wind-based Psynergy conjures a blast of air with unusual properties. It's good for knocking things around or waking up sleeping people. Slap is a fairly weak powered move. It generally has little in-battle use, however, the chance to Stun an enemy can be useful if inflicted. Visually, Slap resembles a blue, disembodied hand that appears and forcefully slaps the target before disappearing.
Exotic Dancing - Cathy is a dancer by profession, and can really put the moves on people. Very few can resist her movements, even though she doesn't take off her clothes.
Animal Adept Partner: Sally is a medium sized white cat (bigger than the one in the picture) with blue eyes the color of Cathy's fire, aligned to Mars as well. She likes fire, but of course can't use it. She wouldn't be burned by it either. Sally was found in the fire caused by Cathy. She somehow miraculously survived without any burns and developed an immunity to heat. She is indifferent to canines, but first meeting them tends to make her hiss a lot at them for a while. She isn't afraid of canines, and would sooner slash at their face than run away. When linked with Cathy, her class becomes the Flame User series.

Night Triumphant
C'mon, I've never murdered anyone online yet. XD Except if her personality is like Daciana's. XD Then I'll fight! XD

I'm still trying to actually figure out which "Weyard country" is more accurate for Romania - Tolbi, Kalay or Morgal.

God of Monsters
I guess Morgal is the closest. Just keep in kind you'll need to be familiar with the beastmen on a more personal level.

I'll review the sign ups when I have more than an iPhone. Or when I feel like giving myself a headache.

God of Monsters
@ Monster Guy: Timothy Wolfe is accepted. There were several grammatical and spelling errors. Just watch those in the future.

@ *Jean Grey*: Daciana Lupei is accepted.

My Sign Up:
Name: Gerard Leonhardt
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Alignment: Venus
Fighting Style: Warrior
Weapon Style: Long swords, axes, or light blades. Long sword preferred.
Home Town: Gondowan Settlement

Physical Description: Gerard stands at nearly six-and-a-half feet (1.95m) tall and is typically considered "handsome", with a well-defined musculature, strong jaw line and facial features, and immaculate posture. He has a thick head of brown-black hair; he's allowed it to grow out on his travels and it now hangs well-past his shoulders; it's now long enough for him to tie back in a low ponytail, though a few loose long strands hang in front of his face. At times, however, he's trimmed his hair to various lengths, even to what might be called a buzz-cut. His hair has a natural healthy sheen and smoothness. His eyes, too, are a deep, dark brown; though after prolonged use of Psynergy, his irises turn a metallic gold.

Gerard is strong and well built but lean, emphasizing muscle tone over muscle size. Indeed, Gerard's body looks and feels almost like it was chiseled out of stone or forged from iron. Due to the advanced healing he receives from the League and other healers, Gerard's injuries are almost non-existent, though he still carries many various-sized scars. The smaller and older scars, however, are barely visible--due it part to size and fading over time--but also because of Gerard's well-tanned skin. The hours-a-day spent in the sun has given him a nice, all-over bronze.

Gerard generally doesn’t wear any one outfit all the time, but he is known to wear a set of blue armor with gold accents with a yellow scarf-cape sort of number. The gear consists of a base layer of strong, flexible, black leather armor. A pair of steel vambraces cover both his forearms, while similar greaves provide the same for his calves. Segmented steel armor also covers his shoulders and part of his upper arms, as well as part of his upper torso and chest. The same type of protective armor also covers the outside of his thighs, connected across his waist.

Personality Profile: Gerard is very driven and devoted to the ideals of the League of Adepts. However he is occasionally frustrated by all the rules and "red tape" that he has to go through in order to do his job. Gerard is opinionated and quite stubborn when it comes to some things. He has a strong sense of duty and loyalty to not only his friends family, and the League, but also to himself. He has a deep sense of spirit and often meditates to calm himself and put his mind at ease. He understands the spirit of things and has a deep spirituality and connection to the earth.

Gerard is a rather unique character, especially for a League member. He follows the rules and instructions of the organization, but is not opposed to finding ways around them (without breaking them). Still, he respects the rules of the organization and understands the inherent logic in their placement. He clearly enjoys his status and power as a League Adept; coming from a background in which his defining trait was his weakness, he sees the great power now afforded to him as a blessing.

He is cunning, calculating, and deadly. He's self-serving and selfish. He has dedicated his existence to following his whims, and this easy life of pleasure has brought him detachment and easy confidence. He has become a sort of bon vivant, seeking novelty and new diversions. But despite his fundamentally hedonistic nature, Gerard does feel the pull of more lasting concerns, and over his long life this tendency has resulted in an arcane schedule of engagements and forays to far-flung places. As a result Gerard is a busy man, traveling frequently to pursue concerns known only to him. Gerard always seems to have business elsewhere.

He's become a charmer and a smooth-talker in this time, he has a vicious way with words and a critical eye that combine to make him extremely competent at picking someone apart and deducing what makes them tick. His ability to analyze and dissect people and situations mentally, combined with his physical nature and Venus Psynergy has made him an incredibly deadly individual.

He plays the stoic as well as anyone, and plays it in earnest. He does, however, have a much more personable and outgoing side, which emerges when he is around those he trusts and respects most. His easy-going side also has a bit of a wild streak, and he's been known to raise a bit of hell from time to time and city to city. Gerard relates to others as his playthings, as he's found few beings capable or worthy of gaining his respect. He's found immense pleasure in traveling the multiverse. Essentially, he's a narcissist, with an "I come first" sort of attitude. This is most apparent in his pursuit of women. In places where knows Adepts are welcomed and celebrated instead of feared, he tends to seek out the nearest tavern and beautiful woman (or women if he can swing it). He's the ultimate lady-killer, using his good looks, charisma, charm, and status to win (and subsequently break) the hearts of women everywhere. He's a connoisseur of the one-night-stand and is prone to seducing women of nobility, "just for the challenge." But Gerard's eye isn't for power; he appreciates beauty no matter what social class it's found in. He enjoys the perks of his status; especially the free drinks and attention it gets him from women.

But the double-edged attitudes of the human populace aren't easy for Gerard to accept. It's difficult for him to go from being celebrated to being feared and loathed, looked at as little better than the monsters he was sent to kill. He finds himself wondering why he should help those sorts of people; "if they're too good for me, they're too good for my help." Still, he stoically--though begrudgingly--accepts the tasks the organization sets for him.

Upon going into battle, however, Gerard changes completely. He becomes like a machine, unceasing, unflinching, and unrelenting in his mission. He is no longer either stoic or laid-back, but determined and focused. He becomes something else entirely, and it is in this "something else" that his separation from humanity becomes most evident. Gerard becomes vicious, ferociously efficient and brutal. In this mindset, it's clear that he's no longer truly human, that he is indeed an inhuman force, and it takes him some time to pull himself back from this state of hyper-awareness and hyper-lethality once his mission is complete. "Hyper-lethal" is the most appropriate way of describing Gerard.

His revelry, womanizing, and overall hell-raising is actually a useful tool for his decompression, which is likely why the organization has continually turned a blind eye towards his behavior, even when it caused them some embarrassment.

Brief Personal Background: Gerard and his parents were among the first to move to the small Gondowan Settlement after the unsealing of Alchemy. The small Settlement slowly began to build into a rather large city-town, with Gerard's father - the town jeweler - gaining a great reputation in the area. His father would obtain Psynergy stones and other precious stones from the nearby Magma Rock and cheap ores from Loho up the coast, and he would fashion them into glamorous and beautiful pieces of jewelry to sell in Tolbi and Contigo. The young Gerard was particularly attached to, and amused by, a perfectly round Psynergy stone that his father had, and took it with him everywhere.

However, constant exposure to the stone caused Gerard's Psynergetic powers to suddenly manifest and spike uncontrollably. A childhood nightmare sparked an unintentional release of power that took the form of a tremendous earthquake, revealing Gerard's status as a Venus Adept. At only seven years old, and without anyone around who could instruct Gerard on the proper use of his new powers, they raged out of control, and he became a danger to himself and those around him. He destroyed his home, burying himself and his parents in the rubble. His parents were killed. The people of the Settlement, horrified at the notion of a monster existing so close to them undetected and filled with blind fear of what it might have changed Gerard into, exiled and chased him from the city.

Gerard wandered the countryside for days, lost and alone, in a complete daze. Eventually he collapsed; dehydrated and exhausted. When he awoke, he found himself beside a campfire. Across from him sat two men. Isaac and Felix, Venus masters.

It was then that Isaac and Felix, as a favor to Iodem, met with Gerard and the survivors and explained his abilities. They also said that they could take him to Tolbi where he would be trained to use these powers and abilities so that he would no longer be a danger. Gerard was reluctant, but relented, and he went with Isaac and Felix.

They brought him to Tolbi, to meet with Iodem and the rest of the newly formed "League of Adepts". There, Gerard began training with some of the Elders of Vale, who were among the most knowledgeable teachers of Psynergy in all of Weyard. He learned fighting techniques from Isaac and some of the most skilled fighters in the world. Gerard and many other young students also were taught about Psynergy and Alchemy by the scholar Kraden.

Most of his years training were spent with a woman named Katherine. Upon his entrance into the League's training school, she became his instructor, drill sergeant...and older sister, though the last took quite some time. At first she was viciously strict and unyielding. For an entire year she trained the nine year old boy, teaching him to struggle, to fight, and to survive. She taught him all the basics of the harsh life he had unknowingly chosen; how to hunt wild game, skin it, gut it, and prepare it. She taught him how to escape from something chasing after him, how to run, to think on his feet, and outsmart a vastly superior enemy. She taught him how to treat his own wounds, and gave him many to practice on. For that first year she was the devil incarnate, but every time she offered Gerard a chance to back down, he refused.

After that first year, Gerard became proficient enough in his use of Psynergy to be called a true Adept. That was when the training really started. What he went through with Katherine before was nothing compared to the new training that awaited him. With his new power, wounds were much less significant, and Katherine was much less hesitant to inflict him with serious ones. But they were no less painful. The physical strain alone was enough to shred and tear his muscles, but still he was pushed on. He was slashed, stabbed, and broken on a daily basis by Katherine and his other instructors, and they offered him no mercy. At the end of the day, however, Katherine was always there to help him to his feet, comfort him as his body mended itself, and ease his uncertainties.

When Gerard was thirteen, Katherine was called back into the field. There was no formal announcement or preparation; she simply received a black piece of paper and left the next morning. She didn't leave without saying goodbye, however, and wished Gerard the best of luck, promising that they'd see each other again soon. Gerard returned to his training, with the other new recruits and his instructors from hell. Gerard was an excellent student, and eagerly absorbed everything his instructors taught him. Like all Weapons he became proficient in armed and unarmed combat; at close and long range; with melee and projectile weaponry.

Gerard didn't see Katherine for the next three years, but during that time he trained diligently. It was also during this time that he made his first kill. It was a difficult battle for the fourteen year old, but what shocked him most was how easy the actual killing was. In that moment he began to understand how different he had become. At around the age of sixteen, Gerard (like all Adepts) was assigned to a field mentor, and was thrilled to learn that it was Katherine. She, in turn, was glad to see him and was impressed with his progress. For the next two years, until Gerard was eighteen, he and Katherine were assigned to the same jobs.

But at eighteen, Gerard was ready to work on his own. Gerard had completed his training and was promoted to the rank of "Sentry," meaning he was an active member of the League of Adepts and no longer a student. He and Katherine attempted to stay in touch, sending messages and letting each other know they were both okay through the organization's spies and informants, but it was rather difficult. They still saw each other, but only every few months, and only with a great deal of effort. Then, one day, when Gerard was twenty-one, he received news that all contact with Katherine had been lost, and her whereabouts were unknown. He spent the next year and a half looking for her, but to no avail. He finally had to accept the likelihood that she was killed on a mission.

He remains as one of the League's top young operatives, widely recognized for his promising potential.

Weapon(s) + Description: Gaia Blade; Isaac's old weapon. Gerard received it after his graduation to the rank of "Sentry". It has a powerful "unleash" effect called "Titan Blade" in which a mighty sword is formed above the opponent before crashing down upon them.

Other Abilities: Like all Venus Adepts, Gerard is immensely strong for his size and stature. With strength bordering on the supernatural, Venus Adepts are only challenged (physically) by other Venus Adepts and the dragon-like Mars Adepts from Prox. Gerard is a very skilled and capable fighter, a veritable encyclopedia of fighting styles and techniques. During his training with the League of Adepts, he traveled all over Weyard to learn many different fighting styles. He learned ancient sword techniques from Izumo. He also studied unarmed martial arts from fighting monks in Fuchin Temple and Chi from Xian. Gerard has also trained near Prox, where he studied the Proxian fighting techniques and the technique of withstanding temperature extremes so he is much more able to bear frigid cold of the north and the searing heat of the deserts. Gerard possesses incredibly potent Utility-type Psynergy and is able to utilize it with immense force. In this way, his typical telekinesis-type abilities can be offensive in nature.

Animal Adept Partner: Amon, a tiger. Amon is aligned to the Mars (Fire) element. Gerard first met Amon when they were both quite young, Gerard himself being ten years old, and Amon being the tiger equivalent of a ten year old. The cub had been separated from the rest of his mother, and was stumbled upon by Gerard and several other Adepts-in-training. Their relationship started out slowly; Gerard tossed the young tiger bits of scraps from their camp, and Amon would quickly grab the food and retreat to eat away from them. This routine continued for some time, until Gerard gained Amon's trust, and the tiger was convinced he could approach safely. When the time came for Gerard and his companions to leave the grasslands where Amon had met them, the young tiger followed them all the way back to Tolbi. There, Kraden informed the group of Adepts about their potential partnership with animals, and Gerard understood what happened between the two of them. Since that day, the two have rarely been apart. Gerard has matured into a strong, confident, young adult, and Amon has grown into a massively powerful specimen of a tiger. He is immense, weighing in at over 600 pounds of pure big-cat muscle. When Gerard links his Psynergy with Amon, he becomes the equivalent of the "Samurai/Ronin" class.

Hehe, I didn't know you could mix up the starting animal's element, hehe. XD Changed Lucian to Jupiter, with silver eyes instead of red, so that a class that fits Daciana more (with higher Attack as opposed to Defense) will become accessible. XD Unless you think she's more of a Mars/Venus Brute rather than a Mars/Jupiter/Venus Ninja. XD

Name: Lucia Lynwood

Age: 22

Gender: Female

Alignment: Mercury

Fighting Style: Warrior

Weapon Style: Spear, also trained in use of Bows and Daggers

Home Town: Passaj

Physical Description: Be it because of the mountain air of her hometown or the ample life of a well-to-do merchant, Lucia grew up full and sturdy in her days. Not that she is by most standards obese; Lucia is only a slight kilogram or so over the average weight for a young woman of her height (5'8") and straight body type. With equally sturdy hips and shoulders and a very slight stomach, Lucia makes it a point to keep a tall posture to minimize how bulky she appears. This build also provides her full, flush cheeks with slight freckles, which serves alongside her slate-blue eyes and long, pale blue wavy hair to give her a youthful look (which she frequently accentuates with makeup). While Lucia's skin used to be tanned from frequent travel, since joining with the League of Adepts it has returned to its natural, lighter pallor. Her hair, long enough to just pass her shoulder-blades, is almost always kept tied back in some form of braid or, in a pinch, a tight, low bun.

Lucia's choice in clothing has always been about marrying practicality with refinement, and being raised under a merchant gave her plenty of choice in doing so. Furs and linens in particular appeal to her, and as such make up much of her winter and summer wardrobes respectively. While traveling, she keeps to short-sleeved, well-fitted tops and slacks to match, though in town she will just as soon wear simple dresses. She has a particular pair of shin-high dark leather boots which she wears particularly frequently, and an indigo cloak with dark blue rosemaling about the edges and a bronze neck-clasp which she favors heavily in its appropriate season. Lucia also has a tendency to wear appropriately-thick gloves for the season for warmth and to prevent wearing her hands while practicing with her spear. Her current outfit consists of a high-necked, tight-fitting white blouse with long sleeves under a dark blue sleeveless dress that passes her knee; a pale blue sash about her waist, black fitted gloves, and black leggings; her favored boots and cloak; and a white ribbon tying her braid together, which she has tossed over the front of her shoulder.

Personality Profile: Much like the Alchemy she controls, Lucia comes across as quite cold. From her poised posture to her eloquent, articulate manner of speech, she makes it a point of presenting herself as aloof and mature. Being well-read and well-traveled certainly gives this portrayal some merit, though she does occasionally toe the line with stuffiness and superiority. Her air of elegance also rides heavily on her own composure; she sees the idea of being objectively proven wrong to be an affront to her personally and indicative of a loss of control. Naturally, this makes her highly competitive to the point of outright abandoning situations that are not in her favor and being aggressively adamant in defending her own standing. To this end, Lucia has a habit of pausing to overthink things, being tactical down to the point of planning her own sentences. There is a sense of necessary correctness in her decisions, as well, making her a stickler for procedures and rules. She does miss the occasional bit of sarcasm or joke at her expense by her straight-laced approach, making her seem a bit socially stunted when put in a casual conversation (which, fairly enough, she is by way of dealing primarily with people several times her age throughout her childhood). In the end, Lucia's combination of outward severity and internal contemplation gives her more of a businesslike attitude that serves her well in making suggestions and decisions with what she sees as the greatest net benefit and a certain knack for negotiation, in spite of her issues in conversing with her peers.

While she may not make for the best of companions to have a chat with, Lucia does make it a point to remain inoffensive in her speech and deliberations. Her mannerisms were tailored from an early age to adhere to a very professional moral code in order to gain favor with others. In line with her sense of values and conjunction with her penchant for order and correctness, Lucia tiptoes across the line with her stance on gender roles; while she herself sees domestic tasks as a split responsibility as much as her own wilderness and business skills, she takes an very traditional approach to relationships, making her almost entirely dismissive of the idea of approaching men. Her approach to morality and heavy reaction to personal attacks causes her to hold equally quiet grudges and debts in memory as she sees them due to others. Keeping her calm air intact, she instead opts to passively disregard or center others in her decisions as she sees fair according to their merit. Having such a rigid view of other people gives her less of an sentimental base to her relationships than a concept of picking and choosing the most pleasant and skilled companions. For much the same reason, Lucia puts less of a value on socializing for the sake of socializing, though her peers in the League of Adepts have started to steer her in favor of the idea of building an emotional reliance on others.

Lucia's tastes are diverse, with her favoring foods and clothing based more on their merits of rarity or quality than on specific varieties. This being said, she has a soft spot for fresh seafood and a taste for dinner wines in particular. Her hobbies tend to be a bit on the dry side, looking toward books and games of thought to fill out her afternoons, though she is equally appreciative of more colorful pastimes such as hikes and bird-watching with Mari. Albeit she favors these for their practical application, making it a point to join the occasional hunt to keep her archery and scouting skills sharp, she also makes an effort to remain open to other suggestions, having few things she outright dislikes. That said, she is bothered by blatant immaturity, has only a loose grasp on how to swim, and is downright disdainful of bats (and, by extension, most caves). And while she admires musicianship, it remains generally agreed upon that allowing her to partake in music-making is not in anyones' best interests.

Brief Personal Background: Lucia was born to Jakob, a mountaineer of Passaj; and Karina, an Adept merchant hailing from Ayuthay, after the latter's travels gave her reason to hire Jakob as a guide and guard. She was born in winter between the trading seasons, while the two were lodging in Jakob's cabin in Passaj. Not able to find another family to raise her throughout most of the year, the couple instead took young Lucia along with them from early on, leading to Lucia having grown up in a constantly-changing environment. This served to make her a relatively resilient and patient child, able to mind herself the same regardless of her environment - a necessary trait for their up-and-down lifestyle, sleeping frequently in tents or under the stars but having ample funds to be well looked after when resting overnight in towns. Being constantly on the move also exposed her to much of the world at a very quick rate while giving her a large amount of spare time; by the age of ten, she had a near-teenage maturity and had read enough books while riding their wagon to draw a map of Weyard and its countries from memory. Unfortunately, this came at the cost of having few friends for nine months of the year, but rather a loose set of acquaintances.

It took until the age of twelve for her to display any sign of an affinity for alchemy, but when she did, it came as a surprise to her parents. Her father was thoroughly non-Adept and her mother only knew enough to produce water for drinking and cooking and ice to keep goods frozen and fresh, so when one of Lucia's tantrums resulted in her throwing snowballs without the use of her hands, her parents were pleasantly astounded. While her mother was only able to teach her so much in the way of manipulating her powers, during the winter season (when trading bared little profit compared to the cost of travel) she would receive hard instruction from any Adept advisors available in either Passaj or Authay, though these were admittedly few. Oh the road, she learned to she leaned simple control and practical applications for psynergy, such as to create mild, life-supporting water and ice, enough to draw stream water for cooking or ice over meats to keep them fresh. And during the winter months, when snow and ice was plentiful in the mountains, she was taught be those with experience to expand the scope of her ability, from moving entire snowdrifts at once to basic defense. Being naturally-inclined toward study and curiosity certainly facilitated the process, to the point where her frequent and public experimenting with her ability got her scouted by a representative of the League of Adepts, an invitation which she accepted. Departing at the end of the trading season, she has been training and working with the League since the beginning of last year.

Weapon(s) + Description: The spear Lucia carries with her is made from a lightweight metal, forged using Alchemy as a reinforcement. Its slate-blue shaft is roughly a meter and a half long with a flat end, while the blade is wide and long, more like a knife than a traditional spear-head.

Other Abilities/Skills: The majority of Lucia's other skills are derived from her upbringing under two parents with very divergent sets of skills. From her mother, she learned the ins and outs of trade routes and proceedings, a loose grasp of economics, and even a few more practical uses for her psynergy. Her father likewise versed her in handling herself in the wilds by way of orienteering and identifying flora and fauna. Admittedly, her knowledge in none of these areas is complete, but still above that of most people of her age.

Animal Adept Partner: Lucia's partner is Mari, a mountain hare aligned under Mars. While Lucia was out hunting with her father early in the winter before she was summoned to the League of Adepts, she found that one of her own snares had caught a relatively young hare, which was still struggling. The instant that she approached with a knife, Lucia was bitten by the hare. Impressed by its vitality, she instead felt compelled to cut it free and offer the hare a few dried berries from her pocket. The then-named Mari reluctantly accepted, and over the course of the next several months became increasingly comfortable in Lucia's presence. Mari has since adopted Lucia's air of superiority and grace, albeit she is much more vigorous in expressing her non-affection for certain parties and defense of her own space. While Mari almost never proves to be too successful in her aggression, Mari's small size and astounding agility make her a superior scout. When Lucia attunes her own psynergy to Mari's, she takes on the properties of the Ranger class.
