Enter Wartortle and Raichu! Sliggoo Does its Best!!

Having met up with their old friend, Tierno, Ash decides to challenge him to a practice battle to prepare for his upcoming Gym battle with Clemont. During the battle, however, Team Rocket appears and kidnap Tierno's Pokémon as well as Ash's Sliggoo. When Ash & Co. finally find Team Rocket, trouble starts to break out due to a fire, and it's up to Sliggoo to help sort the situation. Will Sliggoo save the day?

Sick of dealing with idiots.
The episode starts with Ash and co. at a Pokemon Center cabin.

Ash and co. are talking to Clemont on a video screen inside the Pokemon Center.

Clemont is in his room, where he builds his inventions.

Ash and co. are now walking along a path that goes through a forest.

Suddenly, they stop and talk about Ash's upcoming gym battle.

Someone calls out to Ash.

A hand from the same person appears from behind a nearby tree.

The person comes out from behind the tree and the person is Tierno.

Tierno says hello to Ash and co.

His eyes turn into hears when he sees Serena's new look.

Ash and Tierno talk for a bit about where Clemont is.

There is a flashback to when Tierno battled the Clembot with his Squirtle at the Lumiose Gym.

Ash and Tierno decide to show off their Pokemon.

Ash brings out his Sliggoo.

Tierno brings out all of his Pokemon.

His Squirtle is now a Wartortle and he also has a Politoed, Hitmontop and Ludicolo.

Ash and Tierno decide to have a battle.

Tierno sends out his Raichu for his battle against Ash.

Ash is surprised that Tierno has a Raichu.

Tierno decides to use his Wartortle and Raichu for the battle.

Ash decides to use his Pikachu and Sliggoo.

A mecha rides along the ground nearby Ash and co. (including Tierno).

The mecha belongs to Team Rocket.

Team Rocket talk to Ash and co. from a hologram.

The mecha interrupts the battle and it uses one of its arms to grab Pikachu.

Pikachu gets freed from the Mecha's hand/s.

Ash battles against Team Rocket.

Team Rocket escapes with Ash's Sliggoo and Tierno's Wartortle and Raichu.

Team Rocket are relaxing after they have captured the Pokemon.

They soon realise that they are not the Pokemon that they wanted to capture.

Sliggoo, Wartortle and Raichu get freed and they join up with Tierno and Bonnie.

Ash and Serena are trying to find Tierno and the others.

Dare Da? Sliggoo.

They all meet up with eachother and Team Rocket have arrived at the same place as well.

Jessie's Pumpkaboo destroys the mecha with is Shadow Ball.

A fire starts when it gets destroyed and the fire grows to a large size.

Ash's Sliggoo has a flashback to when Pokemon its homeland were surrounded by a fire.

Sliggoo uses Rain Dance to douse the big fire.

Sliggoo starts to evolve.

Ash's Sliggoo has now evolved into a Goodra.

Goodra uses Dragon Pulse on Team Rocket and then Team Rocket blast off.

As the sun starts to set, Ash and Tierno get ready to have to battle that they were going to have before.

Ash is using his Pikachu and Goodra and Tierno is using his Wartortle and Raichu.

I think Ash won the battle.

After the battle, Ash, Serena and Bonnie say goodbye to Tierno.

Ash and co. walk off and then it turns to night time.

They stop at a cliff when they see Lumiose City in the distance and it is not too far away.

Seems like Ash has a better success in Double Battles than Serena, no, that is not accurate to say here, he goddamned controlled the battle through and through. Ash forced Tierno to follow his momentum and completely destroyed any attempt for him to do so by stopping his rhythm strategy. Great battle for the simple fact how utterly destroyed Tierno had. He literally had no chance, though that can be attributed to Ash's strategy revolving on Goodra bearing punishment while Pikachu DPS.

Episode started slow, and, to me, only picked up at the end during the evolution of Goodra. I'm gonna miss Sliggoo, it was gone too soon. it was cute and worked hard and its bond with Dedenne is awesome, now, well, though it is technically the same individual it is still not the same. Love the callbacks here using the electric type communication between Pikachu and Dedenne. Also, it would seem that Tierno being a league rival has been confirmed, oh well. Now all we need to know about is Trevor. By the way, why did Tierno forget that he had an entire team of consisting of water types at the most dire of times?

So we come to it at last, the BROBOWL. GET HYPE!

First off, this episode was pretty good in general. Tierno telling the gang that he was challenging Gyms and him showing his Voltage Badge pretty much confirms at this point that he's Ash's League rival. In the event that Ash faces Tierno's competitive rain team team at the League, Tierno could potentially give him a run for his money.

Sliggoo's evolution: Another flashback to its past when Ash, Serena, and TR were surrounded by the wall of fire, and it was very cool to see it overcome its fears (of not being able to save its friends in the past) and use its inner strength to summon a massive Rain Dance to put out the fire. However, I was a tad bit disappointed it evolved during Rain Dance (but it'll suffice since it did show that Sliggoo needs rain to evolve to its final form). And surprisingly Goodra didn't become a hugging machine post-evolution, but still maintained its affectionate nature.

And the Double Battle at the end was nice as well. Goodra tanking Wartotle and Raichu's attacks like a bauss and using Bide to send it all back, plus it - along with Pikachu - got a double KO with Dragon Pulse (?). Awww yeah. All hail Lord Godra Barney Goodra. Overall in that Double Battle, Ash had control all the way, and didn't even break a sweat compared to his last battle(s) with Tierno during the Summer Camp arc.

And finally: Ash has his first-ever pseudo-legendary Pokemon under his ownership. It's about damn time. I've been waiting 3000 years for this

Good episode overall. 9/10

MegaVolt played during the evolution sequence.

Also, Tierno is collecting badges. In this episode, we just saw Tierno getting the Voltage Badge.

I can't answer anything else.

Yes,Tierno is a rival.Hopefully that means Mega Blastoise vs Greninja(Ash winning it of course).Damn Goodra was a beast in that battle though.

Just like the last episode where the talk was mostly about Shota instead of Serena and Braixen
