Good Mario games?

So I just got Mario Kart DS, and I want to know some good Mario-realated games for the DS or the GBA because I don't have a Gamecube or N64 or the like.

I have:

Warioware, Inc
Warioware: Touched!
Warioware: Twisted!
Mario Kart: Super Circuit


What're your suggestions?

My suggestions: Get a GameCube. They are extremely cheap and they contain the greatest Mario games of all time. But if you don't Mario 64 DS hands down.

I would suggest Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time.

That game is a good RPG but before you get that game for the Nintendo DS you should get the first part Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga for the GBA.

Polar Spirit is sooo right those two were great games (still working a little on Partners in Time)

seizureman is also right get a GCN the best game ever (not just the best Mario game, I mean the best game ever period.) is on there, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

Oh yeah How could I forget those >__>. But Advances 2 and 4 are the best.

buying Mario & Luigi when you haven't even played an original game yet is pretty pointless. Nintendo throws in jokes that you need to get from the original 3 for NES and Super Mario World.

BUT, the NES is long dead. Luckly, Nintendo releaced the original platformers for the GBA. HOWEVER, the original Mario for GBA blows. They releaced a better remake for the Gameboy color which you can play on GBA.

If I was to recamend to you 2 of the 4 Advance games, it would be:
Super Mario Advance 2, Super Mario World
Super Mario Advance 4, Super Mario Bros 3

Those 2 are consitered the best of the Mario series, so I sugest you march up to the nearest game shop and buy 'em both.

After, check out M&L.

I just said that. But yes, those are must buys. Even more so than any other Mario game in existance.

If I didn't have these Mario games, I'd buy them in this order:

1. Mario Advance 4, Super Mario Bros. 3
2. Mario Advance 2, Super Mario World
3. Mario 64 DS
4. Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga
5. Mario & Luigi Partners in Time (if you like the original)

Of course there are good Mario games on GameCube also

1. Mario Sunshine
2. Paper Mario Thousand Year Door
3. Luigis Mansion
4. All Mario extra games (Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario Tennis etc.)

So this should answer your question.

Other than to understand a few Cameos you do not need to play M&L SSS to play M&L PiT

Or you can get Super Princesess Peach (The 1st game you can play as Peach)(Other than Paper Mario or Sports Games)

P.S If you get PiT or SSS don't read the Manual because the 1st 45 mins are all about teaching you how to play the game and you can't skip it!

DS: Mario Kart DS, Super Mario 64 DS, Warioware Touched!, Yoshi Touch & Go, Super Princess Peach, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time

GC: Mario Party 4-7, Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario Baseball, Super Mario Strikers, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Warioware, DDR: Mario Mix, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, Mario Power Tennis

There is probably more but thats all that sticks out in my mind for those 3 systems...

Super Mario Advance 1-4
Mario Kart-Super Circuit
Mario and Luigi-Superstar Saga

Mario and Luigi- Partners in Time

And whenever it comes out, New Super Mario Bros.
