    so far, the best team i've used in fire red has been;

    Venusaur
    -leech seed
    -toxic
    -razor leaf
    -frenzy root

    Butterfree
    -sleep powder
    -dreameater
    -psychic
    -shadow ball

Kangaskhan (was definitely the hardest to get)
    -return
    -brick break
    -earthquake
    -shadow ball

    Lapras
    -surf
    -ice beam
    -thunderbolt
    -confuse ray

    Arcanine
-flame wheel (not sure why i didn't bother with flamethrower here)
    -aerial ace
-hidden power (i think i got HP Rock with mine)
-rest (i had plenty of chesto berries and a pokeflute to make good use of it)

    Raichu
    -thunderbolt
    -iron tail
    -brick break
-hidden power (cant remember what type i got)

the team had seen me through many victories, we laughed, we cried, and we kicked some elite 4 butt too. gary couldn't even keep up ^_^

i hope this inspires some unique team choices :)

oh, that is a very nice team in my opinion, you've got a nice mix of power and style in there, lapras is quite classy AND bulky from what i remember, nidoking can deal out some heavy abuse and handle quite a bit too, snorlax is as always, quite a beast when fighting one lol. definitely like the what you've got going on with electabuzz, i haven't seen too many people over the years making use of that one. additionally, i'm noticing that you've got a nice deal of coverage in there too for ingame purposes. well done :)

For an in-game team, there's a lot you can get away with using. Your team looks good, so here's my idea for movesets:
    Blastoise
    -Surf
    -Rain Dance/Ice Beam
    -Toxic
    -Protect

    Arcanine
    -Fire Blast
    -Extremespeed/Take Down/Return
    -Aerial Ace
    -Flamethrower/Sunny Day

    Vileplume
-Giga Drain/Solarbeam (Use only if you have Sunny Day on Arcanine)
    -Toxic
    -Sleep Powder
-Petal Dance/Sludge Bomb (Use only if rematching Elite Four, Sludge Bomb is only available in the postgame)

    Pidgeot
    -Fly
    -Return/Double Edge
    -Steel Wing
    -Double Team

    Electabuzz
    -Thunderbolt
    -Brick Break
    -Return/Double Edge
-Iron Tail/Thunder (Use only if you have Rain Dance on Blastoise)

    Hitmonchan
    -Mach Punch
    -Rock Slide
    -Sky Uppercut
    -Strength/Return/Double Edge
