He did a lot on his own, so I would've expected him to be more worn out as well, but I suppose that he was just energetic and euphoric because he had caught a new Pokemon.

That’s true, although he did collapse when he was carrying the sick and injured Houndour. Yet that happened in a completely different episode entirely.

Cyndaquil! Aww its so cute! Tbh Cyndaquil is my least favorite out of the Johto starters but I love Typhlosion!!
I wish Ash's Cyndaquil could have fully evolved into a badass Typhlosion in Johto!
