For Silver Trench, bring 6 Petrify Orbs and you'll be okay. As long as you remember to use your Orbs in 1-Room Monster Houses so that it won't be that crowded .

Trust me, in the one-room houses with the Gorebyss, Kingdras, and other Pokemon, they use Agility like 4 times, then you get like 20 Pokemon ganging up on you at quadruple speed. Better to bring the Orbs and use em when you reach those 1-room Monster Houses. They stay frozen until you attack em(which I wouldn't recommend you do after using the orbs).

hm, silver trench was hard. I went thru western cave just now with a lvl 70 charizard. he's now lvl 76

Friend Bow? Eh. I'd say bring 99 of 2 different throwing items (I'd suggest Geo Pebbles/Gravelerocks and iron Throns), about 3 or 4 Huge Apples so you don't starve, and and Escape Orb. You don't need a Friend Bow for Lugia because it will ask to join you automatically, as long as you don't recruit anything else in that dungeon. In this case, give your leader a Tight Belt and you won't need to worry about food.
