...well, some of ya anyway
Although this was an April Fools prank (albeit none of you actually got the main point of the prank, with me bringing the long coveted Manga Avatars and then a day later disabling them), there is a bit of truth to it. We have gone way over our b/w limits and I am seriously looking for ways to lower it, and no it isn't a storage issue so deleting old or unused stuff doesnt make a slight bit of difference, so it is possible that in the coming months if our usage doesnt go back down to the level required (3 Terabytes) that sigs and avatars will properly be disabled, so it is something you may have to properly endure, and if that means losing the selfish ones among you, then so be it...I'ld rather lose the immature selfish ones who care only for material stuff like avatars and sigs as opposed to not being able to pay for the srvers and have the sites shut down.
Thanks to all of those who offered donations and actually saw the funny side of the prank (as opposed to those doom sayers who are threatening to leave because of a damn prank), however I will NEVER accept donations for the site, it's not right.
Seriously though, some of you really need a sense of humour, this was just a joke on the forums that in no way stopped you being able from doing what you need to on the site or forums, same with the banner.
After the 4th post convincing people it was an April Fools, I did not lie once, I never outright said it was an april fools or not, so you just read into it too much.
In regards to my previous announcement regarding April Fools, you guys really should have read it literally. I said I wouldn't do an April Fools joke that would mislead people information wise or stop them from what they're doing...thats why some of the mods ideas were not implemented (such as Ed's turn the Site into a Super Princess Peach site) and why I posted warning people about any news or new pokemon revealed today by other sites, I feel it is wrong to mislead people in this way.
So in closing, thanks to all who enjoyed this and saw the funny side of it, and to those who took it too seriously, wanting to leave or just ruining it for others due to bitterness because his self-centered idea was rejected like one mod who shall remain nameless...come on, get a sense of humour.
