So, has anybody heard of or actually watched this Animé Series?
GRANDER MUSASHI
For all who don't know, Grander Musashi is all about Sport Fishing and Lure Fishing. But it's not just ordinary Fishing, there are some elements that include powerful items that are related to some of the "Legendary Fish", based on folklore about the Carp.
The Main Story itself is about Kazama Musashi, a boy who was dragged from Civilization by his father to live in the woods. He goes to the nearby school, and meets Suguru and Mio, who later become his friends. He recieves a Fishing Rod, which used to belong to his grandfather, called the Grander. The Grander has the best reels, and has a good gripping stick. Anyone said to possess the Grander can have dead accuracy when fishing.
At first, Musashi doesn't really care that much about fishing, but when he is able to watch a famous Sport Fisher, Jim, hegets compelled to become as good as Jim, training and practicing his fishing skills everyday, studying the habits of some elusive fish, and learning which lure is the best to use in certain areas.
He used to have a rival named Mr. Kuki, who wanted to use the Speed and Accuracy of the Grander to make a Super Grander so he could be the best Fisher in the world. At the End of the Series, Mr. Kuki gives up trying to use the power of the Grander for his own.
GRANDER MUSASHI RV
The sequel to the series, Grander Musashi RV, has a new storyline, more fishing action, as well as some more new contests and characters, and some of the old ones that appear as Easter Eggs. The sequel focuses more on the Legendary Lures, the Legenders. There are 7 of the Legenders, namely:
1. Hawk Legender - Works best in sunlight, it has sharp gripping hooks to prevent fish from escaping.
Owner: Kazama Musashi
2. God Legender - The most powerful Legender. It can catch any kind of fish, no matter what weather conditions, no matter how fast the fish is.
Owner: Kazama Musashi
3. Shark Legender - A lure with deadly speed in water, but has fragile hooks that can't reel in any fish heavier than 50 lbs.
Owner: Carl Amann
4. Scissor Legender - Shaped like a crab, it has retractible pincer-like hooks, and can catch more than one fish.
Owner: Yun
5. Dragon Legender - A very long lure, it's segmented parts can make it look like living bait in the water, raising the chances of catching a fish quickly and easily.
Owner: B.B.
6. Spider Legender - Works best in mud or muddy water. It can break through the hard mud pots that some aestivating fish hide in.
Owner: Hattori Masatsugu
7. Angel (Devil Legender) - Formerly a very dangerous lure with very sharp hooks, it changed into a safer lure when it is used under the intention of pure fishing, not hurting other Fishers.
Owner: Kuki Jr. (Mr. Kuki's son)
