I've played Colosseum for a while and the only reason I bought it in the first place was to play colosseum mode and look a my pokemon in 3D again. Recently I've been thinking of purchasing XD, but before I spend my very limited funds, I wanted to know a few things about the graphics. My first concern is, are the pokemon sprites better in XD and if so, by how much. My second is, Nintendo mentions better attack graphics, are they really that much better, I mean is ice beams still that bad looking? Anyways, I hope that someone can answer was useless question.

Thanks,

The attack graphic have inproved tremedously. Take flamethrower for example. It looks like real fire AND you can see the air around the Pokemon's mouth shimmer from the heat.

As for the graphics of the actual Pokemon, they are the same. The aura's given off by Shadow Pokemon are cooler though, and ShadowLugia does have the cool coloring.

But sprites and regions have the same graphics.

If you're only getting it to play Colosseum Mode, it's not worth it, but...

I've been told the animations are better, but the only thing I've noticed is that some are redone. They're nothing amazing, and they didn't even look better to me.

the pokemon sprites do look a little better but not by much and the attack graphics are way better but in my opinion they screwed up flamethrower

GOD isn't that much of an improvement on Colosseum, it's certainly not worth spending the money if you only want it for the Collo mode. The pokemon themselves haven't changed (hardly) and the attack effects aren't anything to "wow" at. In fact, the only difference i can see is the people's faces don't seems as flat or twisted.
