Grass Type Sceptile

A tank would be preferred

I'm still trying to help Bill's friend fix that national trade link thingy in LeafGreen, so Veusaur and such might take a while to get.

If you also think grass types are terrible, You can suggest electric types

Grass types basically aren't that great. Jolteon's probably your best bet for an Electric-type.

A good Electric type would be Manectric or Jolteon.

well cradily is pretty good as a tank. if you teach it toxix/confuse ray/rest it can be a real annoyer

also im currenty using a breloom which knows spore/mach punch/focus punch/return its not much of grass type as ive made more use for its attack and fighting traits but the spore and focus punch combo is awsome although it took ages for shroomish to learn spore before i could evolve it into breloom

Sceptile could never be described as a tank, but you can stall for quite a while using Leech Seed and Substitute, until their health is low enough to take them out with one of your attacks. Leftovers is required for this.

Sceptile, in my opinion is the best grass pokémon out there. Its the only grass Pokémon, that can learn a huge variety of special moves (e.g Leaf Blade, Crunch, Dragon Claw, Thunderpuch, HP Fire). Also it stats support it very well.
