Great Gray Owl

[Catapult Turtle]

Boredom=creativity. A Great Gray Owl (Strix nebulosa, which is probably spelled wrong). Chalk and hard pastels on velour. First picture of 2006.

Blah. I'm tired right now. The scanner blurred it, because I was too afraid to let the paper touch the scanner and let the unfixatifed pastels all fall off.

The face is crooked but other than that, I like it. It's very lovely.

Wow, I'm actually getting comments ^^ I decided to take your advice, EagleFox and fix up my painting. Pastel packs up on top of other pastel quite nicely. Did I forget to mention this is my first pastel on velour drawing? *scrolls down* Well, it is. And here is the fixed painting:
