Great Movepools

healer o pain

<==want shiny of it
What makes a good movepool? Usually a good movepool would be a recovery move, a staus effect move, and 2 other strong and resortful moves. Example: Moonlight, Shadow Ball, Body Slam, and Hyper beam. What would be a good move pool in your eyes (could you also help me with a good move pool for my Kingdra on emerald?)?

I think you mean moveset, not movepool.

Anyways, the moveset all depends on what the Pokemon is being used for. A sweeper should have powerful attacking moves, such as Thunderbolt for Special and Return for Physical, and possibly some stat-up moves. A tank or wall should have moves that wear the opponent down, like Spikes/Roar, and healing moves.

Any good moveset would have something that would inflict damage to the opponent, even if its Toxic/Spikes etc. Having just Stat Boosting moves and Baton Pass seems rather pointless (although it could be useful if used correctly), and is a waste of a Pokemon, especially if they are a Tank.
