Grudge Against Porygon?

I dont know where this topic would belong because it relates to the anime and the games in general (not a specific generation).

I was kind of thinking today, after the Porygon episode of the anime which caused all the seizures in Japan, did anyone affected form a grudge against Porygon? Like does anyone know anybody in Japan who refuses to use a Porygon in the games because of that event? Does anyone know if perhaps the results were more severe and they swore off Pokémon altogether?

The most obvious grudge is the lack of Porygon or Porygon2 in the anime after it. Consdiering the flashing was caused by Pikachu.

The only grudge I hold is that Proygon was in the episode that had the seizures, and is now shafted in the anime, and the fact that there was not a Charizard instead .

Porygon has always been a personal favorite of mine and it seems the Anime has decided to completely abandon it as well as the games.....

I adore the Porygon line, and I'm very upset that the writers hate it. However, the game developers must love it cause they made Porygon 2 really good

They don't hate it, they just want to avoid using it because it'll attract attention to the seizure incident. It's bad business to showcase a Pokemon that sent 800 kids to the hospital, that's no small number.

It was pikachu that sent them to the hospital! He was the one who electricuted missiles or whatever. Porygon just took the blame because he was heavily featured in that episode and the writers (and Ash) were just too in love with pikachu to ban him for that.

They probably have. They just associate porygon with that incident so much that they aren't showing it.

I second the motion, since it was Pikachu who started the flashing light show of 800 epileptic seizures. But since it's overrated, loved too much by Ash and the writers, that innocent Porygon become nothing more but a Scapegoat for that whole fiasco...

I still use Porygon in the games though... Only to the extent that I hide myself when I use it, so as not to attract any more attention to the Seizure Incident.

All that time Ash spent with Pikachu,and out of nowhere,He Dissapears.

Speaking of,I Trained Porygon and my Friends hated me for it...
Then I evolved my Porygon into Porygon2 and my Friends treat me like I never Trained Porygon ^.^

Pikachu made those lights, so he should be blamed and banned, but too bad Pikachu is the most known Pokemon of all so I am sure no-one will ban Pikachu.

I'd catch a Porygon in the games and nickname it "Seizure"

AKA I don't care that Porygon got shafted for it, It's pretty bad I know but atleast he has a badass evolution
