I was just looking through my old computer files, and I found this GS team that I had created in my heyday in the juuuust pre-crystal GS days when everyone was running around throwing enduracrosses at each other.
I was just curious if I was even in the right mindset when I was creating my own team for GS competetive play.
It's my very very old UU team (I suppose Jolt / Slash -may- be BL) that I would have fun with against OU teams on the mIRC GSbot, and that was like... years and years ago. In fact, I did quite well with these guys, and even pokered around in some tournaments (but that was way back when there were very few competetive pokemon communities)
Anywho! Just curious if anyone could take a peek and yell at me~ The only real permanent would be Wigglytuff, but c'est le vie, keeping in mind I like my UU pokes, but if you know of one that simply outshines one, let me know...

... starter...
Gengar @ Leftovers.
Counter
Thunderbolt
Fire Punch
Explosion
Striker/Ibuki64’s starter I’ve gone and stolen. Makes a good show for a starter, with Fire Punch and Thunderbolt to catch all forms of spikers, and has the nice speed to beat them all out. Counter survives any non-stab earthquakes (yay including Tyranitar), so it’s great for a bounce back OHKO. Anytime you’re low on health, go ahead and explode, or switch out early and play him as a late sweeper.
... annoyer + staller ...
Jolteon @ Leftovers.
Thunder Wave
Thunderbolt
Substitute
Attract
Thunder Wave is an obvious choice, with Substitute being my savior, pulling off Thunder Wave blocks and then using Thunderbolt to chip off hp. Paratract makes an ugly combo, and when Jolt's speed is paired with sub/leftovers, you can stall forever.
... sweeper ...
Wigglytuff @ Mint Berry.
Curse
Body Slam
Shadow Ball
Rest
Nobody remembers the moogletuff ;3 Body Slam is for that chance of paralyzes, and thus, the instant speed advantage, even through a couple curses. If Wiggly can do it, she could do very well sweep a whole team. Body Slam may not be strong enough, but it’s my best choice here as the only thing with STAB + Paralyze, and even though double-edge would be quite interesting, the kickback would slaughter my 'tuff.
... sweeper ...
Sandslash @ Leftovers.
Substitute
Swords Dance
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Sweeper Sandslash. Usually to come in during a type advantage, set up substitute on the switch, and start Dancing. Slash can take a lot of hits, so hopefully he can stand it out long enough to unleash fully powered earthquakes / rock slides. He can also take down almost ALL of the hazers, being faster than most and having a type advantage attack against almost all of them.
... annoyer + staller...
Ninetales @ Kings Rock
Fire Blast
Confuse Ray
Attract
HeadButt
Great at what she does. It can force switches, but mainly can bug the heck out of any team out there. To get full attack DVs, you need to have a male pokemon, and so most pokemon out there are males. Therefore, attract comes into play with confuse ray and headbutt, for when you get the chance to. 'Tales has great speed, so can constantly be doing a combo of confuse + attract + flinch for huge annoyance.
... hazer ...
Mantine @ Leftovers
Surf
Haze
Substitute
Ice Beam
Hazer Mantine. Utility-ish, its flying abilities make it fun for everyone against dancing EQ-ers who rely on STAB to overkill things. Mantine is faster, so can come in, dodge the eq, and haze off the SDs before dancers can do much.

From what I recall about this team, I mainly created it as a form of a half-halfish group; start it out by feeling the other team out, then they'll start their strategy, and at that point, either stall or start hurtin'. Jolt is there as a setup for wiggly, whereas Slash can get set up much faster, so Ninetales could possibley be a setup for Slash (though having both share grass/water weaknesses isn't so hot).
Anywho, how does this look? I'm just curious, more or less.
