Hi

I am not sure if this thread goes here but I think GSC remakes would be cool

Perhaps, although it would slow down the progress of good ideas.

I would like a G/S/C remake, because I sometimes get a little annoyed at how much text can be fit on the screen (pathetic... I know). Would be nice if it could be put on the larger screen of the DS.

This would be a good idea IMO, but if it has the same crackhead battle system as D/P will have, then absolutely not.

Yeah...uhh...where do you get your information? I haven't heard of ANY such news.

Actually, I doubt anyone has, since...Nintendo hasn't said anything about it!

IMO, the chances of a G/S/C remake are low, although I'm sure they would be very welcome. But honestly, it would be unneccesary- all the pokemon are available in other games, from R/S/E to FR/LG to Colosseum to XD. I wouldn't buy the game just for fun, I'd want it to be worthwhile in completing my 'Dex, and if it didn't help, there's no reason to buy it. I'll just play my Gold if I want to relive the plot.

This post wins the thread.

People are saying they'd like a remake...but i don't think it'd be good. Why? Well, the R/G remake was infested with plotholes, censorship, weird remixed music (imo) and the Teachy TV and Help features which treated us like we're idiots. The G/S remake would be the same. What neccesary feature could it bring now?

I know in the past that i said i wanted a G/S remake, but now i actually think that it would be pointless and a waste of resources to remake those games when they could be focusing more on bringing D/P through. I'd like one, as Johto got shafted pretty bad in this generation, so i'm searching the internet for one. Project Platinum is coming along quite nicely i hear.

On topic, i'd actually like a port if anything. Mabey there could be two versions on the same cart: One could be the G/S version we all know and love, and the other the Beta version with Beta exclusive pokemon (been looking at the Beta threads lately, and this idea just came up). I think it'd be great, no one would complain about internal batteries, EVs, IVs and Natures and it could be half price (£14.99). Just a thought.

Wa-hey, he's finally seen the light. <.<

I would like a port as an "unlockable" of sorts, though I'd actually prefer a port of an original Red version or some such. A Red port will never happen, however, due to the fact that they made FR/LG... which was unfortunate (and unoriginal).

Beta stuff is awesome, but chances are a beta version will never be released by the actual company (not many Americans have read the Naruto pilot, after all...). Still, fan hacks are out there and being made. Probably illegal and stuff, but let's hope Game Freak doesn't mind.

....Well that was a very immature and uneccissary comment, even for you. So, I was "in the dark" for expressing my other opinion before then, yeah? You know, just because somebody doesn't agree with your point of view doesn't mean they are in the dark at all. Don't be so petty and grow up. >_>

As I said, I'd like a remake of G/S, but I also said that if GameFreak made it, it would be unessisary and a waste of resources at this time, the bolded meaning that it could still be used in the future but not right now.

"The G/S remake would be the same. What neccesary feature could it bring now?" The bolded implies that if it was made and released now, I'm not sure what features it could bring to the table. The future could present more opportunities for any advanced features a G/S remake would have.

For now, a fan-made one would satisfy me, as long as it can be downloadable to a GBA Flashcart.

I want a remake so badly... though it probably won't be happening anytime soon. And I don't care if you can already obtain most of the pokemon, there's way more to the game than just that. I'd love to see what the Johto region looks like drawn with more advanced graphics, as well as all the new features, items, ect. they'd add if it ever gets remade.

If they ever make a remake of this game, I'd be REALLY happy. ^_^

I personaly think that a remake would a be a bad idea. First off, Kanto was in the last half of G/S/C. Yes the plot was different, but that would still be remaking something more or less for the third time. Then theres the fact that someone has already stated, about all of Johto's Pokemon being avaliible in most other games. Then again, many of the younger Pokemon fans have never played anything older than Ruby/Sapphire, so it would be new to them.

Why does everyone want sequals to everything? Its like with mvies. If the first Superman was amazing and everyone loved it, why make another? Besides the question of money, of course, which this sad world revolves around these days. Imagine a remake of Titanic though...

Im not against the idea, just don't think that its a wise use of time and effort. Though a rom/hack would be an interesting idea.
