Again, does no one here remember that the Kanto Leaders had the same exact Pokémon in FireRed and LeafGreen that they did in Red/Blue/Green?

Kujo1229

*munch*
I'm basing levels more off Platinum:
Leaders:
Falkner:
Pidgy LV. 12
HootHoot LV. 13
Pidgeotto LV. 14
TM: Pluck, it was said, and is the best

Bugsy:
Beedril LV. 18
Butterfree LV. 18
Scyther LV. 20
TM: U-Turn, already said, and once again, good idea, Fury Cutter is better though. :p

Whitney:
Clefairy LV. 23
Miltank LV. 27
TM: Attract, why mess with it? It fits her.

Morty:
Misdreavus LV. 27
Haunter LV. 29
Haunter LV. 29
Gengar LV. 32
TM: Shadow Ball

Chuck:
Primeape LV. 36
Poliwrath LV. 38
TM: Focus Punch

Jasmine:
Magneton LV. 40
Magneton LV. 40
Steelix LV. 43
TM: Iron Tail

Pryce:
Sneasel LV. 43
Dewgong LV. 45
Piloswine LV. 47
TM: Avalanche

Clair:
Dragonair LV. 49
Dragonair LV. 49
Kingdra LV. 52
TM: Dragon Pulse

Elite Four:
Will:
Xatu LV. 50
Exeggutor LV. 51
Slowbro LV. 51
Jynx LV. 52
Espeon LV. 54

Koga:
Ariados Lv. 52
Weezing LV. 53 (I miss Weezing...)
Muk LV. 54
Venomoth LV. 55
Crobat LV. 56

Bruno:
Onix LV. 53 (Gotta have)
Hitmontop LV. 55
Hitmonlee LV. 56
Hitmonchan LV. 56
Machamp LV. 58

Karen:
Umbreon LV. 56
Murkrow/Honchkrow LV. 57
Sneasel LV. 58
Gengar LV. 58
Houndoom LV. 60

Lance:
Gyarados LV. 58
Charizard LV. 59
Aerodactyl LV. 60
Tyranitar LV. 60
Dragonite LV. 62
Dragonite LV. 63

That's what I hope to see, higher levels, and it is fairly realistic to me. I kept some stuff in tact such as Bruno's Onix, and Lance's obsession with Dragonite, only it's not so bad. Though in the end Lance uses too little dragons. :/ But he was never all dragon was he? He was always "dragon-looking" Pokémon.

After playing the Diamond Elite Four yesterday, i found the levels reasonably difficult. What is ranging, from 53 to 66. I think it's a wee bit high, but if HG and SS used this level bracket, then there'd even be room left for increase
(To all of you who believe there'll be increases). All in all, if there's going to be Sinnoh Pokemon in this (from the word ''go'') then there'd be no reason not to give Staravia to Falkner. At a nice challenge at level 14, it's not even hacked. Although saying that, there is no reason for this to happen, as Spearow and Hoothoot could present reasonable challenges, too. Slap on a few double teams and a few mud slaps, and you've pretty much lost. I assume that Nintendo realise the levels were a bit too low, so they will adjust. For example, Silver's first battle may be moved- it was too easy, my starter was level 10 and his was 5, no challenge. Now if it stays in the same location but the level is adjusted, then thats a different story completely. His starter will have learned an attack of it's type, and be quite tough to beat.

i agree all here, higher levels for all gyms and the first time elite four! The levels Kujo1229 puts up is perfect, tho i dont want them to change pokemon. I just want second gym change metapod and kakuna for something else or evolve them.

Some gyms pokemon could be better evolved or change them becuse the gyms where the easy part of the game and it shouldnt be like that. i hope the makers see this and changes it.

The trainers can be the same becuse they got pretty good pokemons tho.

But falkner, pathetic. atleast lvl 11 first pokemon, 12 second. only two pokes for the first leader!

and the tower in the second town where the gym is have to get a little stronger! lvl 6 would be fine i guess for all bellsprouts.

What about the gym leaders of Kanto? GSC had 2 regions to go to. what pokemon and levels for kanto leaders and pkmn trainer red?

My ideas for some pokemon the gym leaders could use would be:

Falkner:
Hoothoot
Pidgeotto

Bugsy
Syther
Ariados

Whitney:
Milktank
Blissey

Morty:
Misdreavus
Gengar

Chuck:
Hitmontop
Poliwrath

Jasmine:
Skarmory
Steelix

Pryce:
Sneasel
Mamoswine

Clair:
Dragonair
Kingdra

I know that gym leaders have 3 or more pokemon but could only pick a definite 2 for each. I decided to pick pokemon mostly from the 2nd gen to go with the game.

Did you have to fight all 16 Gym Leader until you could fight the E4? I forgot.

jolteonjak

*swoons for Noland*
You fought the Johto 8, then the E4. Then you fought the Kanto 8, and then Ash (whatever color his manga name is).

ShinyCharyZard

Too old for your rubbish..
I doubt the teams will be changed Pokemon-wise. But the levels could be tweaked...

Falkner - Pidgey 10, Pidgeotto 12
Bugsy - Metapod 15, Kakuna 15, Scyther 18
Whitney - Clefairy 21, Miltank 23
Morty - Gastly 23, Haunter 23, Haunter 25, Gengar 27
Chuck - Primeape 29, Poliwrath 32
Jasmine - Magnemite 33, Magnemite 33, Steelix 36
Pryce - Seel 35, Dewgong 37, Piloswine 40
Clair - Dragonair 38, Dragonair 38, Dragonair 38, Kingdra 42

Will - Xatu 43, Exeggutor 44, Slowbro 44, Jynx 44, Xatu 45
Bruno - Hitmontop 45, Hitmonchan 45, Hitmonlee 45, Onix 46, Machamp 48
Koga - Ariados 45, Forretress 48, Muk 46, Venomoth 45, Crobat 50
Karen - Umbreon 47, Vileplume 47, Murkrow 48, Gengar 49, Houndoom 52

Lance - Gyarados 48, Dragonite 52, Charizard 50, Aerodactyl 50, Dragonite 52, Dragonite 55

They could always change the Pokemon once you've travelled through Kanto. Maybe when you return, Karens Murkrow could be a Honchkrow, Lance could switch out two Dragonites for a Salamence and Garchomp. Stuff like that...

Green is the Game/Manga counterpart of Gary

I hope they change the Gym system this time.
  • The level of the Gym Pokemon should habe the same or a bit higher level than yours. If your strongest Pokemon is level 20 the strongst of the Gym Leader should be around lvl.22
  • If the Gym Leader has 3 Pokemon you should be limited to use 3 as well. No 3 vs. 6 anymore.

The Guy (poster above me) I think your levels are much too high, especially The jump through the E4 (from lv50 to lv70 is unrealistic) and Falkner having a lv18 as the first gym leader.

I wouldn't mind them not changing anyone's rosters and just changing the levels like what they did with FRLG (except I can't remember if they changed the levels or not).

I wouldn't have any major changes but I would like the feature of Platinum return where you can challenge Gym Leaders again with new Pokemon. Would be nice to see the Gym Leaders with different Pokemon from all regions beside their original line-up.

And make them stronger, the battle aspect in G/S/C was well below average compared to the other games.
