For the Mudkip to be legit it must have come from an egg, but you did not state if it did or didn't therefore it's legitimacy cannot be concluded, until you can confirm if it is egg hatched or not.

No, "after a long travel through time" only applies to Pokemon from 3rd Gen, in other words, Kanto (FR/LG) and Hoenn (R/S/E)

If it was from 4th Gen (Sinnoh - D/P/Pt or Johto - HG/SS) it would simply says "arrived at".

On a related note, a Pokemon caught in HG/SS Kanto will says it comes from Johto.

The Pikachu is an event, look it up on Serebii.net's Event dex and yo'll see it's legitimacy.

True, but abilities actually can change upon evolution after transferring depending on PID, so it's still not definite either way without looking at the pokemon's PID and such.

Meh, I guess I feel that if someone's going to go to the trouble to hack-check something on this thread, they should explain their reasoning better than just saying "it looks like a hack" without even giving a definite reason.
