Hacked Pokemon

I hack for certain things, but never in the way that's described as "noob hacking".

Most of the time, I do things in the game without the need of hacking (shiny hunting most definitely, also simply playing through the game's storyline). But I personally, don't always find it enjoyable to go racing around here and there, battling craploads of fellers, etc. just to get like, one item that I need, or play through an entire version just to catch a particular species, when I could hack for the species, breed it, and then hatch a legit baby.

Also, if I wanted a legendary that could only be obtained through means of Mystery Gift, I'd go and hack for the tickets to obtain said event Pokemon.

So yay for hacking. I wouldn't go to the extremes of hacking legit-like special event Pokemon (like the 10ANNIV Pokemon) and shinies, but if others want to do it, and find fun in the games whilst doing it, then I don't see any problem.

Haha, yeah, I hack all the time for fun, and for legends/shinies. I don't battle or trade with people that don't like it anyway.

And btw, the event items work without needing the mystery gift for them. Or at least mine did. Unlimited Manaphy eggs ftw.

Hmm I really see nothing wrong with hacking. I really don't care about the event Pokemon anyways so that might play a factor. Seriously if its almost the exact same thing what's the big deal? Say you got a hamburger and your friend got one more pickle then you are going to flip out cuz she cheated the system of pickles? Its a tiny difference so what? As long as the people aren't complete idiots I see no problem. It would be unfair for people to get something other people can't but like people have said here they do it as fairly as they possibly can.

Someone forgot how this works.

To get Manaphy's egg, you do not require an item. You normally just have to link Pokemon Ranger to your game, something I did the first time since Ranger was a fun game (if incredibly obnoxious at some points).

In other words, the code for Manaphy's Egg just activates the Mystery Gift.

For Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus, you require the items Membership Pass, Oak's Letter, and Azure Flute (not sure about the last one's name).

However, just hacking said items into your inventory will not work. Try it out yourself: the items need to have been sent via Mystery Gift, AKA the green guy in the pokemart.

I myself am extremely against hacking. How much fun are you really having if you get everything you want with no work?

Who said hacking= no work? You're making the assumption that people who choose to hack hack everything. I've done dozens of legit breeding projects without the assistance of AR or other cheats.

Hacking also gives unfair advantages in battles even if its in realistic lines.

No it doesn't.

Also it destroys the online trades / event pokemon.

I've got news for you: It's a widely known secret that all event Pokemon traded are clones, or generated from the wonder cards via Pokesav, at best; at worst, flat out bad hacks.

Also, most hackers I know don't trade hacks. My theory is it's the few bad hackers who trade them, then unbeknownst to the person on the other end, they continue to trade it away.

I don't mind as long as they don't go seriously competing with it. If someone wants to mess with the game code on their own, I don't have a problem with that basic concept.

I would like to again mention that messing around with your OWN game code will NOT affect the game code of other persons game. Connecting with a hacked game will not do anything to your own game at all.

I hate hacked pokemon because they mess up the game and the battle as well. They are given superior stats and moves that make everything easier. It also ruins a big thing which is the hunt of the legendaries or rare pokemon. I usually hunt for rare and even legendaries and start trading and giving rare pokemon to get these event pokemon and now I have only Jirachi to complete my set along with Arceus. However, the hackers just get the pokmeon they want easily leaving the others working hard to get them. That is seriously stupid and not right.

On principal I don't want any hacks, or to battle against one. But if someone needs to make one for himself/herself to help complete their dex.

I didn't though ;)

Raise hands for anyone who completed the dex with no hacks!!! *raises hand*

Ah, hacking. I'm not surprised that it has a mixed reaction.

I'm neutral when it comes to hacking-- I neither like or hate it. Where I draw the line though, is those "noob hackers" that others have mentioned. I don't have wi-fi, but I do know that altering a Pokemon's stats, giving it moves that it can't learn, and impossible abilities is very dishonorable and unfair.

Then it comes down to the ones who hack to obtain Pokemon they obviously wouldn't be able to obtain otherwise. This I don't mind, especially for event Pokemon. I feel their pain because the events that occur even remotely near me are always too far away for me to actually go to one.

I've had moments where I hacked too, but they were all very little things. I don't hack so much anymore, as I've become much more serious when it comes to raising Pokemon and battling. I know EV training like the back of my hand and I'm willing to spend a lot of time breeding for suitable IV's. If one fails, sure, it becomes frustrating, but that doesn't stop me from repeating the process.

Supposed "Legit" hacked Pokemon are still hacked Pokemon no matter how much you try to cover up that fact. Hacking irks me even if done within realistic parameters. It is unfair to people who spend time breeding for Natures and decent IVs and soft reseting for Legendaries with a desireable Nature and decent IVs. The only hacking I would be able to accept is changing the nickname of a legit Event Pokemon or legit-obtained something that can't normally be renicknamed (ie. something obtained in a Trade).

When I hack pokemon I do not alter their IV's or Natures, I know that that would definately be an unfair advantage so I just leave them on whatever they are randomly placed on or I generate a random one to make it fair. I would like to also say, to all you people who keep telling me it's unfair to the ones who "work hard" to raise and breed their pokemon.....grow some and get over it. You also have the option to hack if it means that much to you, but what someone does with their pokemon is really none of your business. Most hackers make their pokemon as legit as possible so for all you sooks who are like "that is so unfair, you should be tried and jailed for executing a completely legal and unoffensive act!" I am starting to grow tired of all of your bull sht excuses. NO-ONE is coming up with any more reasons as to why hacking is bad, you're all just repeating one another like machines. Hackers still put ALOT of effort into raising their pokemon, to be perfectly honest alot of them just do what I did with my Rayquaza and hack pokemon with altered stats or levels to EXPERIMENT.
You're all babies and, as Chopper would say, HARDEN THE F**K UP!!

Excuses? No. Surely you know that everyone has drastically different opinions on hacking. Not everyone is going to see it your way.

There's people who hack Pokemon for numerous things, then there's the people who are neutral toward it, and finally there's the group of people that detest hacking so much that they avoid it as if it was some kind of contagious disease. Is hacking really that bad? Well, I believe that there is no real answer to that question because of everyone's views on hacking. It all comes in the form of their own opinions. Either one hacks or they don't. Its their game-- Let them do what they want. Its THAT simple.

I believe I can fly.
I don't mind hacking as long as they don't try to 'sell' the hacks off to others. I wouldn't by AR and hacking devices like that myself but I just think it takes a chunk of satisfaction out of getting the pokemon yourself from sweat and blood.

I honestly don't see hacking as a bad thing. I mean, what if a person couldn't get one of the Mystery Gift items? What should they do? The same goes if the person has no access to the Pokemon not caught in their game, and cannot trade for them.

The only thing I'm against is when people hack to get Pokemon with 999 in every stat, teaching them moves the Pokemon can't normally learn and unlimited items. I

In then end, it depends on the person. If they want to hack, then they can hack.

This is exactly how i feel, i've had so many people say things along the lines of "You're just jealous because you don't have a cheat device". I can afford to get my own if i wanted because i work, some people who play Pokemon shouldn't really play it if they can't play it properly and legitly.
Also "I don't have time because of work, life ect" doesn't work with me, because i work, socialise, have my own house and a boyfriend but i have plenty of time, they're just scared of hard work :D.

I don't really care to read the arguments posted so far, because really there's only one right answer to the reason why hacking is so bad.

It's unfair.

People spend days and days breeding pokemon to get flawless IVs. Those are the maniacs who can't stand anything less than perfect. Most people simply IV breed for one to three perfect stats.
These pokemon are legit.
These pokemon have had time and effort put into them, and are still likely to be less than perfect.

When some kid comes up and doesn't do any work, but has pokemon that are higher stats than the other, they already have an unfair advantage.

; Fairness is equality.
; Equality is everybody having equal opportunity.
; Hacking presents people with more opportunity than others.
;; Therefore, hacking is not equality, and is not fair.

Peh. I'm just against people who skip all the work for a shiny Arceus. Makes me want to sweep their teams or something like that.
