Hacking in Pokemon

Electrifying.
IMO, Hacking is fine, as long as no one else is affected by your Hacking.

I don't hack any of the games on my DS, but on the games I play on my emulator on my PC, I often hack my games after finishing them, so that they are more fun to play with the second time.

I consider Hack the same as using a prepared deck of Cards in card games. Most hacks basicly result are like dealing Royal Flush to the player in poker. (A Royal Flush is said to the beats all other hands in Poker.) Since a Prepared deck requires the "Cheater" to actually manipulate the cards directly.

RNG is like Card Counting in card games. You don't have to touch the cards at all. All you've got to do is know what you've seen. Long story short, you've got to guess that the next few cards will be "winning" hands. Now it's considered by some as "cheating" and it's harder to detect. (Card Counting can be done in the head, unlike RNG Abuse.) Many Casinos will remove anyone with a device from play, while "discourage" players who are suspected of manually counting. The RNG program just tell you when that Straight Flush appears. You've to place yourself there to win it.

Oh yeah, this type of threads have been shut due to people flaming.

IMO...to me,.. I am against Hacking or cheating im pokemon... but I am fine with it if others want to hack... IF.. they keep it to themselves... don't hack and try to take on others to be the best.. Thats cowardly and no honor whatsoever...

I prefer to beat the game/hunt shinies/collect pokemon fairly/legitimately, so no to hacking/cheating.
I also buy legit pokemon games.

I am torn when it comes to hacking, while I do feel justified hacking in an event item that I normally had no way of getting, I felt convicted for throwing in a wonderguard spiritomb in the back of my party as a sort of sore loser move. I did make my friends upset multiple times. I also destroyed one of my games when I accidentally made a bad egg and saved like 3 steps before it hatched. I no longer have an AR and I am basically starting from scratch with white and white 2 (considering I lost platinum which had like alll my pokemon on it). I would have to say they I think hacking is okay only if you are getting an event item or using an AR for the handy IV calculator. All pokexploitation is bad in my veiw.

For me, hacking takes away the incentive to put in effort in the game. Sure, it may give you short-lived joy when you get what you want easily, but it may not keep your interest in the game going in the long term. Tried and tested for a few games already, and quickly got bored of playing them because there was no great incentive - you can have whatever you want, why work hard?
