Here discuss all you want about the game. Talk about the books, give help on the game, spoilers for Halo 3, anything you want. Everything Halo related.


I'll start with a spoiler. You might already know, but Halo 3 is set to come out around March. It will come out on the same date or near the release of PS3.

I can gaurantee that Halo 3 will not be on the original Xbox. Other than that,
A) People at Bungie have said that Bill Gates' statement was incorrect; they want to give Halo 3 time, and
B) Chances of PS3 coming out in spring are slim to none (they didn't have any playable demos at CES. Xbox 360 had demos a couple months before its release).

Why would they be saying he was incorrect? I agree with you if they would give Halo 3 time, but I'm sure they'll want to put the release dates near each other.

Not on much anymore.
I love Halo, although my friend kicked my *** in it because he found a rocket launcher. First I found a rocket launcher, but shot him close-range so we both blew up. Then he found a rocket launcher, and killed me several times. But then I found a sniper rifle and managed to kill him a few times. But he still killed me more with the RL.

Me ish a Halo fan. My parents hate it though because my brothers always play live and all you can here is shoot, bang boom...(and swearwords in between) XD

Cant wait for Halo 3. Im itching to see the end.

I can't wait on Halo 3.. Mosly because my skill level will catch up with my friends whove been playing for 4 years now... Mostly because I'm the only one in the city with an X-Box 360.. .That we know of.

You remember where your favorite weapons are so you can get to them first.


Halo 3 prolly going to be the hardest, methinks. Now that we have the Elites on our side (and possibly hunters and grunts?), that leaves us with nothing but jackals and brutes (and etc). Brutes are so... ARGH.

It'd be sad to see Halo go though. Since Halo 4 seems to be a movie, that leaves 3 as the last video game. Possibly. Who knows.

Tobasco, in the first post you mentioned Halo books. What are the titles of these books, as I haven't seen any Halo books.

How odd... XBOX360 launch at the same time as Twilight Princess originally, and Halo 3 at the same time as PS3. I wish Microsoft wouldn't do that...

I play Halo for PC online pretty frequently, but it's tantilizing how broken the game is. The Banshee, people can use without the fear of being fired back at, as well as the sniper rifle, which takes just 2 shots to kill someone with. And the spawn points for it are really high up, easy to pick people off with. So the game's all about who can reach the Banshees first, and who can aim the best with the sniper rifle. Other than that, though, I like it better than almost any other PC FPS.

Trust me, Halo 3 is not coming soon. I heard that they will not even think of releasing it until it is done. they cited that they did not want to release it until it is, what they say is, completely done. Expect it in maybe a year or so.

Found out they're not making Halo 4 a movie (yay.) It looks more like a movie version of the first game.

Halo 3 can come as late as next year :(

It will be a sad end but did bungie say its the end of halo or the end of the halo universe
because who says there wont be another unrelated trilogy .....

Since no one has said why doesn't everyone post a few halo 3 speculations

what we know:
its with master chief ....duh
everything from the past games is likely to stay including weapons and vehicles although they might get touch-ups
the physics/damagability will be improved most likely(say shooting the wheel off the warthog with the guy holding ur flag in it)
new weapons.. but what????
new vehicles... maybe but some were really unused

what i guess:
four-wheelers
possibly more stealth added

what i'd like:
back-pack gun rack- holds two weapons and up to 4 extra gernades each also it makes it so you can only carry one weapon unless u dual-wield it would lower your speed and jump also when getting a weapon from it it takes a couple of seconds to get the stuff from it it would also be removable and placable for long term fighting aka the sniper's best friend

would be nice but i really seriously doubt it


motorcycle - 2 person with two mini- smg mounted on front
would be nice but yeah doubt it

everything destrucable except for major structures needed to complete a level
to a certain extent very highly likely

all vehicles in the game to be able to be driven
possible but doubt it although they may be accessible to hide in ....

ones from the campaign that you couldn't drive in multiplayer (large air-ship from arbiter missions and the convenant frigate type thing with turret cockpit and ghost attached but detachalbe

every mulitplayer map playable either in halo 3
probably if its the last it will most likely do this

multiplayer settings
-dual wielding ablility
-halo 1, 2, 3 weapon sets /would also allow damage from old games .pistol..

-custom weapon sets


yes all the way through except maybe damage from old games and picking game set (halo,1,2,3)

-movie maker (is rumored)
-map maker (is rumored)
movie maker possible more like in-game recorder if so
map maker is very likely although possibly not since not one so far

There's no way Halo 3 is going to be the end. Sure they've said it's going to finish the current story with what's going on right now, but that doesn't mean it'll be the end entirely. There are plenty of prequels, sequels and spin-offs they could still do, and no doubt will until the end of time.

Just how long before there's a prequel where you have to play as the Spartans defending Reach?

I dunno, but anytime someone mentions Halo spin offs, it kinda makes me gag. Anyone up for a round of Master Chief Racing, or Halo Tennis? Nah, I feel more like Halo Dance Dance Revolution. Dance, Cheif, Dance!

I heard a while ago (bungie's site?), some mobile phone game developer whatsit is going to make Halo for yer portable electric telephone machine. Now if this doesn't make you want to punch the person nearest to you, I don't know what will. Besides money.

Halo Dance Dance Rev. would be crazy! lol. Stupid, though, on the cell version of halo. Come on, give the PSP & DS some love, microsoft.

Oh yea, 'cause I'm sure Microsoft will deal out joint owenership of their biggest franchise to the competition just to create a hand-held version. Even as tantalizing as the idea is, I wouldn't hold your breath.
