Hariyama Help

Hi.

I was given a Hariyama in my Ruby Scramble Challenge. When I tried finding a good moveset for it I got this:

Adamant Nature

Rock Slide
Cross Chop
Rest
Sleep Talk.


However, I have enough BP for Sleep Talk but I am using it to get Endure for my Zangoose on the same challenge. Is there a different moveset I could use?

Also I dont use Hidden Power or Move Tutors. Personal Issue.

And I cant use the following TMs as I am allready using them on other pokes on this challenge:

Dragon Claw (Grovvle)
Earthquake (Wailord)
Areial Ace (Ninjask)

Well, there could be one set...Don't know if you want to use is though. Well, actually several more sets.

There is a stalling counter Hariyama:
HARIYAMA @ Leftovers
Thick Fat
- Cross Chop
- Toxic
- Knock Off
- Whirlwind/Counter/Rest

Counter Flying attacks, Whirlwind away DDancers and SDancers, or Rest for...well, duh. Knock Off is a very cool move, especially on pokes that depend on their items, like Snorlax on Lefties and CBers on, well, CB. Toxic is to stall, it has 144 base HP, God, that's alot. And CC to take advantage of STAB and 120 base Atk :p.

Next on the list, the Subpuncher. Or even Subpunchreversaler :p:

HARIYAMA @ Leftovers
Thick Fat
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Rock Slide
- Knock Off/Whirlwind/Reversal

You get how to use it, right? Duh.

And last but not least, my favourite, and the one you should use imo, the Restbellier.

HARIYAMA @ Salac Berry/Leftovers
Guts
- Cross Chop
- Rock Slide
- Belly Drum
- Rest

Belly Drum, for max atk, then Rest to regain health, then, wtf, you have max atk, just kill everything.

PS, before you Belly Drum, try to pass three or even more Speed Boosts from Ninjask. It's not really a must, but by God, it makes this thing invincible by any standards.

If you are using the Stalking set, I'd use BB due to more accuracy and PP.

i gave my hariyama: Cross Chop, Foresight,smelling salt, Vital throw(im thinking of replceing with brick break...)
try not to use Smelling Salt. maby this:
cross chop,
brick break,
foresight,
vital throw (body slam?)
But vital throw comes in handy when a pokemon dives or digs or flys.
he should also have----thick fat, Leftovers, and adamant nature fits perfectly=ups atk. lowers sp.atk..
....................and thats hariyama
 
I already said I dont want to use Move Tutors.

And also, Cross Chop, though powerful, only has 5PP and this is for an In Game team.

So you don't want to use tutors. Rock Slide is a move any fighting pokemon MUST have. If you want to get Sleep Talk or Endure, guess what, they are move tutors. Without Rock Slide, any flying pokemon will rip you apart. Besides that, Belly Drum is a level-up move, Rest is a TM, and if you don't want CC, use Brick Break, which is also a TM. In your own moveset you have Rock Slide. Return may be an option, and Earthquake another, but if you use Return, a Ghost poke will put you out of comission, and with Earthquake...say hy to Gengar and any flying pokemon. And Earthquake isn't worth it on a Fighting poke anyway. Get Rock Slide. It's a MUST. No matter what the set for Hariyama, Rock Slide must be there.

If he really cant get Rock Slide..... Hp;Rock is an option to
10 less bass power if you have max!
So then this could work:

Hariyama@Leftovers/Choice Band
Adamant/???
Cross Chop/Brick Break
HP;Rock
Rest/Return
Belly Drum/Earthquake

I can get Rock Slide but I dont want to.

I might use the XD move tutor to get it though.

It looks like Ill be using:

Adamant @ Chesto Berry

Rock Slide
Cross Chop/Brick Break
Rest
Belly Drum

Its a Shame its speed is so pitiful or I would have used Endureversal

You did say you had Ninjask, try passing speed. With a Salac Berry and two levels of speed passed, the big lump can outspeed many if not all the other pokes. But a STABbed Brick Break with +6 Atk can rip through most things. Ask Bellyzard, and he couldn't Rest and didn't get STAB on his Earthquake.
I think I'm gonna get me a Hariyama for Emerald too...:D

Im not the biggest fan of Baton Passing but I might consider it.
As long as I can use Ninjask as an Attacker I may use it like that.

What would be a better move to remove on Ninjask, Swords Dance, Aerial Ace or Slash (Im definitely keeping Silver Wind on it)

So would this set be better on Hariyama if I used it alongside a Ninjask with Baton Pass:

Adamant Nature @ Salac berry

Rock Slide
Brick Break (Incase Im against something and dont have 1HP)
Endure
Reversal
 
Shadow ball>Slash

Actually, this is the set for Endure/Reversal on Hariyama:
HARIYAMA @ Salac Berry
Guts

- Endure
- Reversal
- Rock Slide/HP Ghost
- Belly Drum

Just think about it, BD AND Endurereversal. This is better. And like I said, Jask needs to pass two speed levels, and with salac.
Belly Drum is there for even more damage, and to make Endure easier. Think about it, Hariyama has 144 base HP. it's pretty hard for many things to OHKO him. so endure loses it's imediate purpose, and you might run into complications. With BD, it's easy.

And the set for BPing Ninjask is this:
Silver Wind
Batton Pass
Substitute
Swords Dance
If you don't want to get Substitute, which will make it harder to BP, you can't BP if you get OHKOed by a random attack, just lose Slash. AA is better anyway.

Adamant Nature (I chose A over Jolly because it allready has enough speed and I wont be facing any E-Deoxys will I)
