Drew gets one more episode in the BF saga than expected. Since Harley's VA announced this, I'm guessing Harley will be in this episode too.

May and Drew are going to battle each other, again, only five episodes after their GF match? Wow.

Seems like they're setting the Drew rivalry up for Shinou.

Well to me the title could mean one of three things:

- They are setting up for a Drew rivalry for the D/P Region.

- AG is coming to a closing and well Drew is going to leave and this title like means that Drew and May will always be rivals and friends and stuff.

- That Drew and May battle and May wins but Drew continues to the D/P region and they promise to be rivals forever.

Though the last one sounds the best to me.

However I got to say I actually really like this title oO I mean it just sounds nice and I guess it brings out the contestshipper in me XD.

EDIT: Also the fact Harley's VA mentioned it seems to kinda make me think there will be a Harley/Drew battle one day But Harley must be in this then :0

But Richie appeared after that episode.

So that doesn't really work as evidence for this being Drew's last episode.

But IMO it really depends on who wins the GF and if May beats Drew or not. If she wins in the GF this will probably be Drew's last episode, if she loses then wins this one I can see D/P.

Drew has already appeared in lots of episodes before, Richie hasn't.
He migh appear in some specials and stuff, but not as May's "rival that she will meet in every 2nd contest episode". The title sounds kinda dramatic to me....and the phrase "rivals/friends FOREVER" is mostly used when someone has to leave.

Anyway, I think the forever thing can signal both his leaving, and his staying. Sometimes forever means that he'll leave, but they'll be rival's forever anyway, or, that he'll stay, and they'll be rival's forever anyway. It can work either way, and either way, what happens is what happens. One side will be good for one ship and the other good for another ship.

I personally think that Shuu is going to leave either way, and that's coming from a hopeful contestshipper, so you know. < <;; Besides, secondary characters never stay for long, and, if Shuu leaves, would Harley take his place as Haruka's rival? o O;; *shudder* That's a scary thought.

If May beats Drew in the GF, why would she battle him again here other than to set up the rivalry again? Maybe May beats Drew in the GF, than Drew beats May again here, and they continue to be rivals?

And if Harley is in this episode too, it does seem more likely to set up rivalries for next season, rather than to end everything.

Harley is May's current every second contest rival.

Also Richie was a league rival like Morrison and Harrsion at first, but then I guess the writters could see a future for him and gave him more and more time.

So Drew hasn't really appeared much at all compared to Hoenn, we haven't even seen him compete in a contest this time round.

Though sometimes these titles are misleading, like 'The Rival is a Salaryman', we had no idea it was even a contest @_@! Just saying.

But Drew turning into Gary and never appearing again would make me sad since Drew is actually a pretty good rival, but I guess we'll see.

Well we still don't know who wins that battle, but its kind comfirmed from this she loses.

But if she wins this episode battle i'll be happy I mean May's lost to Drew like four times :/

No, let's all hope Drew stays. o.o I do if only for ContestShipping.

Although all this about closing rivalries could lead to May leaving or getting a spin-off so the D/P cast can have more new members. A spin-off is more likely since she and her rivals have such a huge fanbase. Not saying I hate May, but it does seem a bit more possible now.

The writers and animators are too stressed with getting a new episode out of the current anime each and every week, (hence why some eps are animated poorly), there's no way in hell they're be able to do two animated shows at the same time. They'd be stretching themselves too thin.

This is why Hoso's only showed up once in a while, and why the show ended back in late Hoenn. It's far too much stress getting episodes of a new show out EVERY week for like a whole year, (in addition to one new movie each year), then to do TWO shows with the same thing.

It could work either way, I think. Drew could win, setting up the rivalry for D/P, or it could be Gotta Catch Ya Later mark II.

If it's the latter, the ep had better bloody well be Contestshippy, that's all I can say. -_-

Harley's presence makes it sound like the ep might be all about the D/P rivalries, though. That's a good sign.

If May loses (AGAIN), then why would she want to battle him again? I could see Drew doing something like that, but not May.

Unless its like the Factory to next facility again then it'll be like 15 weeks from the original match.
