Have you ever kept the basic form of a starter?

Never evolving it yet leveling it up and using it? I know statwise it's stupid but maybe someone would like that pokemon so much that they don't want to evolve it This also goes fo their second stage. *coughGravlercough*

Yes, I did in Pokémon Red. I kept my Charmander and it always had to be around 20 levels higher than my other Pokémon to be strong enough.

Although I kept a female Totodile as it was, but bred it and the resulting baby became a Feraligatr instead.

I used to keep some of my Kanto starters in their first stage because they were my fav Pokemon at the time, but I don't anymore. Sadly now I care too much about stats...

Well, I often keep Bulbasaur and the Hoenn starters unevolved until the E4. I also keep Dragonair, Pupitar, Shelgon and Metang unevolved until they get into their 90s.

Uh huh! :D Whenever I start with a Charmander, I never evolve it. Same with my Cyndaquil on Crystal.

I rarely use the starters. But once I picked Charmander, because of Suicune, and kept it as as a Charmeleon. It just looks cooler but I dont like Charizard anyway.

I have LG version and I juste restarted a game, I plan on keep Ivysaur because I'm not a fan of Venusaur. I'll keep Dragonair too. I think keep some form make just the game a little more difficult. I like that
