I recently tried in sky.It did not end well. Riolu could only do 3 damage with force palm.I wonder if blast seed does the normal amount instead of being reduced by alot.

aww. actually i don't want to evo me and my partner. my partner and i are level 65 and above. i like them cute.

somehow i don't bother recruiting kecleons. i prefer lv1 kecleons recruited from missions or newly hatch if possible.

Sorry to tell you this, but that is impossible. The only way to recruit Keckleon is in battle; they won't join you for finishing a mission (unless maybe you use a wonder mail generator, but I don't know if that would work either because I haven't tried).

Did it successfully in the first game, never bothered in the second due to it requiring far more effort.

The Keckleons are all level 90, so they can only be recruited if you are over level 90 and have the Friend Bow (although the Golden Mask and Amber Tear may work too, and the Fast Friend IQ skill could probably help).

Your on the right track.

Kecloen has a Negative Recruitment Rate I think, something like that.
Heres a List of ways to recruit Kecleon.

Prep Work
-You need to be Level 90-100. +25% Recruitment Chance

-Have Golden Mask/Amber Tear. +24% Recruitment Chance

-Have a Pokemon such as Togekiss that can learn the Fast Friend IQ Skill. +1% Recruitment Chance. All that together brings Kecleons Recruitment Rate up to like, 0.5%, which is pretty high for a Kecleon

-Go to a Dungeon where Kecleon Shops are common. Waterfall Cave, Mystifying Forest, Midnight Forest, just to name a few

-Get a decent amount of Violent Seeds

-Have a Powerful Dragon/Ghost type move in your Arsenal, or a Type Triangle

-As terrifying as it may seem, come Alone because you must land the Final Blow in order to Recruit a Kecleon. Your Teammates cannot defeat it or else it will not join.

-OPTIONAL- If your Pokemon is Bulky in Defense and HP, Oran/Sitrus Berries and Health Restoring moves will be of assistance.

And you can take two paths from here

Path One
-Ensure you have a CRAPLOAD of Reviver Seeds. You WILL need them.
-Spam Double Team before POing Kecleon
-One-Room Orb the Floor and get ready for the fight of your life.

Path Two
-Bring a decent amount of Max Elixers
-Bring a TRUCKLOAD of Apples/Big Apples/Huge Apples
-Hold a Mobile Scarf
-Get in the Wall and you can attack them all you want while they cant attack back!

Tips
-RAID THE ENTIER SHOP BEFORE LEAVING. Kecleon will use ANYTHING on the Carpet to its Advantage. I made the mistake of leaving a Mobile Scarf on the shop once...

-In Path Two, its good to know where the staircase is before you conduct the operation, just in case something goes wrong.

I think a good thing to do would be to bring a Pokemon with a Species or Type-specific item that gives it immunity to Dark-type attacks. Some of the Keckleons know Thief (ironic, isn't it?) so they can take away your Friend Bow/Amber Tear/Golden Mask, so immunity to Dark attacks would help eliminate that threat. I always bring a Mug Orb so i can take back my Friend Bow from whoever steals it (plus I pack two extra Friend Bows).

I really like the One-Room Orb idea, especially because I've been using my ultimate Palkia with Draco Meteor, Spacial Rend, Blizzard, and Earth Power, all of which are all-consuming attacks. Any one of them except Blizzard will be able to manipulate Color Change to make Keckleon weak against Blizzard, and the Dragon-type attacks become super effective on the second consecutive use anyway.
I've finally gotten Palkia to level 100, and as I said before, he has max IQ, a Royal Silk, Dragon Dust, Blue Silk, Water Dust, and Air Blade, I used a Ginseng to boost his Spacial Rend, and I've used countless stat-boosters on him. I've tried to recruit Keckleon twice using him, but each time I got bored and quit about twenty minutes in. The good news is that I lasted about 20 minutes and only used a little under half my Reviver Seeds, plus I was strong enough to defeat about 10-15 Keckleons for every Reviver Seed I lost, so at that rate I should definitely be able to get him before too long.

I've never tried to recruit one. Tbh, i'm freaked out by Kecleon because they're so powerful. I rarely even buy stuff stuff in dungeons from them.

yeah but havent beenable too.

I stopped playing for a while, so i don't know how long it will be until I try again. Although I recruited one in each MD1 game, the closest I've come to it in MD2 is having him follow me to the exit after having his wares destroyed by a wild Pokemon's Explosion or Self Destruct. I love it when that happens, though; it's really a great example of the phrase "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." The wild Pokemon destroys the merchandise, so Keckleon attacks them and leaves its post so it can follow me to the stairs, destroying the enemies we meet along the way as if he was on my team. What I think is the funniest thing about that is that Keckleon leaves its post, but still charges you if you take the remaining wares from his shop.

i got manaphy to lv. 100, raised its stats and IQ with gummies, and when i got to the shop in waterfall cave, i used rain dance and ate a violent seed, then KO'ed tons of Kecleon with 1-4 hits and got a OHKO with dive. but i never recruited one, despite having the golden mask and fast friend.

Oh, yes. I forgot about that. Thief will be a problem there... And yes, it is Ironic XD

But hey, at the rate of 10-15 Kecleons per Reviver Seed, I think you'll be able to Recruit one very soon in one of your 20 minute intervals.

And btw, Amber Tear/Golden Mask have a Bigger Recruitment Boost than Friend Bow. I have a Wonder Mail code for an Amber Tear if you would like. I also think I have one for a One-Room Orb.

actually, all you need is charizrd. charizard can heat wave all them :D and can beat jirachi with roar :D so if 4-5 are around you, that makes it much easier to recruit kecleon and get out. if you dont have an escape orb, bring a pure seed
