What is the best TV for an xbox 360. I want to spend about $3,000 and a nice size would be about 45".

I heard the new sed tv is by far the best but I dont think its out yet.

I own a Samsung 56 inch DLP HDTV Rear Projection and the image quality is good. DLP is designed to prevent burn-in (most common in gaming) and give a good picture. The only bad thing is that it can cause a rainbow effect.

With your size, you can get a plasma, but plasmas aren't recommended for gaming.

I heard that the rainbow is only vissible to 10% of the consumers. So its likely I wont see it which would make it an ideal TV for gaming
