(OOC: I'm sorry for being late, I though this RP had died, but I'm glad thats not true. ^_^; Its also been crazy at school, so meh... here's my post!)
Beads of sweat splotched the young demon’s forehead as she rummaged through her pack. Let’s see, weapons, check; food, check; sweets, check; healing balm, check; cans of cola, check; Mr. Gency’s Guide to the Human World, check; “other” essentials... her head shot up momentarily to make sure nobody saw, then with a blush, she returned to the bag, check. Yes, everything seemed in order. The only thing left to do was to venture through the dimensional gate, that’s all there was left, just one last thing, one final...
She sighed to try to get the anxiety out, but it did little good. She had never thought of doing anything like this. What would her lord think? He would hate her to be sure... visions of the punishments done to lazy prinnies filled her mind: cleaning dragon toe jam, brushing off the mildew from the castle’s catacombs, and, worst of all, scrubbing the toilets. She’d rather swing from the gallows then that...
But, the prince had not been himself, and this was the only choice. Wasn’t it? Yes, it was. His influence has already brought most of the Netherworld to its knees, leaving just a few powerful warlords left to conquer. But, she could tell from the way they fought day after day to take each square of land, each tavern shop, and each piece of candy from babies. Something changed within her prince, and she did no like it. He was not her prince anymore, he was becoming... heartless.
Her will renewed, she stepped solemnly toward the dimensional portal, swirling with purple darkness. With just one final glance, she saw what had become her home, and with two last steps the entire vision disappeared in a whirlwind of shadow.

When the whirlwind of shadow abated, her eyes attacked by a rush of light. This, of course, was normal, and having gone through the portal of darkness many times before, her eyes quickly adjusted. A cityscape, it appeared, though much more geometrically focused then the cities of The Netherworld. The pure straight lines with the occasional half-circle seemed stuffy for the ninja demon, but she didn’t feel that the architecture would be good indications of what the people would be capable of. If only there was a fight going on that would show her what people of this land was truly capable of.
A smell of ash in the air wafted through her nostril, and to her demon nose smelled of sweet perfume among the dead-quality of the air. Curious of its presence, and sensing nothing nearby of note, she walked to the edge of the building. Gazing over the building’s edge, she saw a smoldering fire with a huge black creature rising from it. The creature seemed to attract other creatures, much like herself, to gather around it. Excitement welled within her heart, perhaps these people were the ones she was looking for, what luck! But, if not, she figured, then perhaps the big shadow thing could work too...
