can anyone tell me how charizard can learn heat wave in FR/LG? according to seribii's pokedex it can learn heatwave but next to level they just hav a dash. Also, in double battles when you use a move that affects both opposing pokemon is the power of the attack cut in half or sumthin?

1) one way to get heat wave is to breed a female charizard with a male pokemon that knows heat wave. the baby will know heat wave(egg move) to answer your question, no, its not supposed to learn heat wave on its own, unless you do a cheat to get a Lv. 5 charizard.

2) I don't think it is cut in half.

No, a better way is to just get one giant 'shroom and go to the guy that teaches your Pokemon moves on Two isle. (Sorry, I forgot his name) Or get two tiny 'shrooms. Your choice.

EDIT: Skitty, C-zard DOES learn Heat wave on its own.

it turns out that the shroom guy really does teach heat wave thanks. but i need a straight answer for whether the attack power of a move cuts in half during double battles when it hits both opponents. it could just be in my head but i think wen you use surf on one on one battles it does more damage than if u wer in a two on two battle.

Surf will do 47.5 damage on both (I dunno if they round up, down, or keep it at 47.5). STAB is short for Special Type Attack Boost, where if your Pokemon is the same type as the attack it's using, it gets a boost in power.

Isn't STAB Same Type Attack Bonus?
But, yes it is cut in half.

becuz heat wave iz the coolest fire type attck an charizard is my fave pokemon so....... i jus real wanted him to have it

Well your choice because in my opinion, Flamethrower is way better because...

Flamethrower: 100% Acurracy, 95 Base Power, May inflict Burn

Heat Wave: 90% Accuracy, 100 Base Power (which is nearly the same as Flamethrower), Will never inflict Burn
